Shake that garbage off gators. That was pure garbage. You made an excellent pick, and they score 7 or more runs there most of the time. This is what separates you from anyone I have personally ever seen as far as handicapping. When you lose, it's very minor. And when you win, iit's BIG TIME. And even when you do lose a bet, it is right on track. I have never seen anything like you. Your reads are uncanny. Your wins are easy money, and your losses are nail biters, and usually a fluke of some kind. I don't know where you get your reads, but damn man you are a freak of nature. I was hesitant when I first started reading this thread, but you have made me a believer. Wow is all I can say about your knowledge and reads in these sports. And how you know so many sports makes me just giggle that someone is that crazy good at this. Keep it up please.

Yes that is true but as long as you keep making those kind of good reads you will be extremely successful. I mean a loss is a loss but damn man your losses are sometimes just plain down stupid. And your wins, we hardly even have to break a sweat. And I can'tspeak for everyone, but the fact that you take losses the way you do makes me respect you more.

this has to be the most annoying thing ever... Phills - Rockies 3-5 in the 3rd inning, took over 8.5 and no scoring in the next 6 innings... seriously GRRRRrr

my suggestion is to check the game times throughout the day when you wake up - then refresh 15 minutes prior until kick off/tip off. and always expect 2nd half plays

Best way is this. Keep the WNBA thread open. Refresh that page every 15 minutes or so. When you see that my page has a new post, open it, and see if it is me. If not, go back to the WNBA thread and do the same thing over again.

This will work best if chitchat is kept to the minimum. Nothing wrong with giving the man the props he deserves - but it's best done *before* or *after* european soccer action hours.
And since I got everyone's attention anyway, once again - mad props to THE MAN

So many chances in the Gais game, yet nothing. They can easily score 3 goals in 2nd half so let's not give up yet. Going out for a bit, will have more later! GL all!

Question: in a game that is not going your way, like this swedish game... do you ever end up - or do you recommend - adding money at halftime? Let's say I have $100 to win $68 (OVER 2.5) already, do you think adding $30 to win $30 (OVER 1.5) at halftime is a good idea, as in positive expectation? In general, do you cut your [possible] losses and move on to the next one or do you 'chase'?

Only time I do this is if I take an over and I think it might go way over, I will take an alternative line. For example, in the game earlier that I won. The total was set at 2.5 and they scored 2 goals first 10 minutes. They didn't score again before HT. But they were playing up and down, so I knew they would score more. The total was set at 3.5 for the whole game at HT. I took alternative line at over 4.5 +275. I don't think one bet should have anything to do with another. I don't consider these types of games "Chasers". If you watch a basketball game and the teams are shooting the ball quickly, playing really really fast but are missing a ton of shots, you would want to play the over 2nd half. They most likely are not going to continue missing shots, and you're banking that they continue running. So even if you took over for the game, you would not be chasing that over. You are just betting a smart angle. In the Gais game I would have taken over 1.5 if I saw they were up and down. Although they had several good chances, they pace was not right for me on that bet. But in that circumstance I wouldn't be chasing, just placing educated smart wagers IMO.

The problem is when you make that OVER 1.5 bet *despite* the pace being not what you'd originally expected it to be. Now that's chasing (or 'getting free goals/points) and is -EV... right?
