Thought I would open the thread in case some guys get some nice early lines and want to post their plays.
Im just on the Olympics website and its saying that the next games are these:
France vs Canada
Australia vs Serbia
Spain vs Turkey
USA vs Japan
All the games are play on the one day which means that there will be some rest days in between. There is 1 days rest in between the quarters, semis, final and 3rd place game..
So, i think we can say goodbye to the Japanese team. They have been the biggest surprise for me and they have done so well but no chance vs the US..
I think the Australian team should get past Serbia. If thats the case, they will play either Spain or Turkey. Going off form, I would say Spain. So that means, the team that comes out of the France/Canada game will face USA.
So IMHO, the semi's will be:
Australia vs Spain
France vs USA. T
Then, Australia will meet USA in the Final which the USA will go on to win.
Now, for that 3rd place game, going off what i said above, it means that I am predicting Spain vs France for bronze. Now my book is currently offering +125 for Spain to win a medal and +140 for France to win a medal. Now here is my thinking. If France upset the Aussies, you win your bet because they will got to the final and get gold or silver. If France will not beat the USA, you can count on that. So if we back France to win a medal, you are really only getting 1 chance of them to win it in that Bronze medal game but if we back the Spanish team, you are really getting 2 chances because the Spanish can upset the Australian team definitely.
If we look on the Olympics website, it actually has some decent statistics... Efficiency, 2 and 3 point shooting % etc.
All teams efficiency after 5 games.

3. Spain 89.2
4. Serbia 87.8
5. Japan 83.8
6. France 79.4
7. Belarus 77.2
8. Turkey 71.8
9. Canada 71
10. Brazil 70
11. China 69.2

Will think about this a little longer before laying the bet but for Spain to win a medal is very good odds if you can double your money and even more
