I think sparks are in a good spot to jump up to the 8th spot with a defeat of the liberty. It's been a while since New York has made this West coast road trip and when they did last time it didnt go well. That was some time ago and they're a better team. I'm in the camp that the 6 day lay off didnt help this team. Losing dangerfield for a game lost some continuity and now that she is back its been 9 days since shes played. Might be some rust along with Allen coming back....last time she came back in the lineup after a stint away from the team she put up 4 pts. That was early on, but there is something to say for continuity. Sami being out changes things as well. Pretty sure dangerfield will start and allen will fill the Sami role.
Dont look now, but the spark have been playing some decent basketball. They have a size mismatch in this game and I think they take advanatage of it along with some home cooking and tuff defense along the 3pt line. Last time they made this trip from dallas they came home and played the mystics and that is when their upswing started. There was no Della donne, but that was still a decent win.... and they followed it up with a road win vs storm...hung tuff vs aces and road win vs wings. I think they can ride in here with some confidence and get a cover. It's been a while since they've been a favorite, but I think they're a fav for a reason today.
