Dream coming off that pathetic 50 point performance against the best defense in the league (Mystics). Thibaut had a plan for Rhyne Howard as she went 0-9 and only 2 points but I think her and the Dream can find their offense again against the Mercury who have the worst defensive rating in the league.

Good luck Aussie. Always appreciate your analysis.
I don't have an opinion on the total, but like the Mercury to win because of their veteran and deep backcourt. Having Skyler Diggins-Smith back is huge for Phoenix. I'm expecting some regression from the Dream.

I agree Aussie, I've seen many guy on the under here but Billings seems to be back, she brings a lot of energy on the boards for the Dream and with Cunningham and Peddy out for PHX and no rotation on their guards Diggins and Taurasi will probably play lazy defence.

Cheers mate. I just saw the score line as this game started 2am Sydney time for me. I can’t believe a team with Skylar, DeShields, Charles and Taurasi scored just 54 points against a team like Dream. They definitely have their issues moving forward, that’s just pathetic.

Great to see you WK. This game definitely didn’t go how I thought it would. Just blown away, Phoenix has some terrible problems moving forward and maybe that Skylar and DT bust up a few weeks ago is worse than first thought

Tina Charles has not really settled in yet. Save for a couple decent games she is not carrying this team like she did the Mystics last year. Today was the worst performance so far but she just seems tentative and not assertive. Sometimes that happens where a dominant scorer will go to a new team and all of a sudden defer more.

These two teams should get their attempts up tonight, both ranked in the top 5 for pace and Sparks ranked 11th and Lynx 10th on defensive efficiency allowing around 106.9 points per 100 possessions. Obviously this league doesn’t get 100 possessions per game but you can figure out the math. We just saw the Sparks give up 100+ to 3+ rookies and a bunch of veterans. They played just a week ago and score hit 171 with a rather slower game but the teams did combine for a nice 48% from the floor, a very nice 17/37 from three pointers and around the league average of 28/36 free throws. Think we see a slightly faster game, a little less points from three pointers but a few more free throws tonight to get this total just ticking over

I’m not sure how to feel about that game. We saw some ridiculous free throw attempts, over 70 attempts combined mixed in with some tech fouls as well. Both teams took less shots because of the fouls and free throws and to add to all that, it lands directly on 168, losing by the hook. Painful. But we move on and tomorrows a big card, I always post my YTD so you guys can see that I’m being transparent with my plays. Bit of a rough patch but that’s ok, money management and discipline are the keys
