WNBA Thursday Playoffs

2-0 start.

So the banged up tired Sparks travel to the rested Mystics for another elimination game. And the Mercury travel to Connecticut for same.

Interesting to note that in the last couple of years, the teams that have a Round 1 game under their belts do well in Round 2. Not sure I see that happening here though, especially with the Sparks.

My predicted lines:

Mystics -5.5, total 160

Connecticut -6.5, total 178

Play 1: Washington / Sparks Over 158Rather than play Washington (strong lean), I&#x2019;m going with the Over here. Yes the Sparks are sluggish and want to play grind it out games, but Washington would be idiotic to fall into this trap. Washington has absolutely gotta play fast against a tired Sparks team. EDD has said publicly they are going to push the pace from beginning to end tonight. The Sparks, while tired, have the offensive weapons to keep up with a faster pace. This one goes Over and I see Washington winning it as long as they don&#x2019;t play nervous / tight.

Gotta do it. Now’s the time for Washington to take advantage of a very tired and banged up Sparks team. If not, so be it. Their third 6-bout flight in past ten days, with one star with a stomach bug and the over recovering from mono. I’d be surprised if Sparks pull this one out. Would take a major choke job from Washington.
