The fourth and final major championship of the year is just around the corner, with British Open odds taking action on the biggest stars in golf.
The odds once again point to Scottie Scheffler but a handful of others find themselves with odds shorter than 20/1. Find out who in our latest British Open odds update below.

2024 Open Championship odds analysis
Another major championship, another odds board that sees World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler pulling away from the pack. He's still fetching prices in the +450 to +550 range, well clear of Rory McIlroy (+750 to +850) in second and the rest of the Top 5.
The week began with Ludvig Aberg occupying the No. 3 spot but that's no longer the case with Xander Schauffele returning to that spot in the 11/1 range. And with betting action still moving away from Aberg, Collin Morikawa has also jumped him with consensus 14/1 odds. Aberg is now fifth and can be had as long as 20/1 after being as short as 9/1 at Caesars on Monday (now 14/1).

Scottie Scheffler odds
It's nothing new for Scottie Scheffler, who heads to Royal Troon on a run that's seen him win six times in his last 10 starts. Caesars is offering the shortest price at +450 but the two-time Masters champ can also be had as long as +550 at BetRivers as of Wednesday afternoon.
He's played The Open three times in his career to the tune of a T8 finish and two other Top 25s. That would make this the weakest major for him statistically but we know his game travels as well as anyone's.
Rory McIlroy odds
Following what might be the most devastating loss of his career at Pinehurst in June, Rory McIlroy took about a month off before getting back in the saddle at the Scottish Open last week. He finished T4 in what was good prep ahead of Royal Troon, where he's on the board as a consensus No. 2 favorite in the +750 to +850 range.
He's had a ton of success here at The Open, with a win and five other Top-6 finishes over his last eight tries in a run that also includes a T5 here at Royal Troon in 2016.
Xander Schauffele odds
Xander Schauffele has continued to be a consistent force since breaking through at the PGA Championship in May, logging two Top 10s and two more Top 15s in four starts since. His odds have steadied as a result, with the World No. 3 listed as short as 11/1 (Caesars) and as long as 14/1 (FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM).
He finished runner-up at the 2018 Open and has four total Top 20s in six career Open tries.
Tiger Woods odds
While Tiger Woods made the cut at Augusta, he also lost strokes putting, on approach, and off the tee. He finished dead last of those who made the cut then went on to miss the cut at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open.
He's played the Open just once since 2019 and hasn't made the cut here since 2018. All that to say: those +20,000 outright odds aren't treating Tiger as a threat and neither should you.
