2024 Masters Picks: One Masters Bet We're Making Right Now

Brooks Koepka's success in majors is well-documented and while there are still some great prices for the 2023 Masters runner-up, they may be gone by the time Masters week rolls around. We suggest you bet on Brooks now before it's too late.

The world's top golfers will be converging soon on Augusta National Golf Cub to compete in a tradition unlike any other.

The 2024 Masters odds are always on the move, so finding the best price for your wagers means pouncing when the iron’s hot.

Here’s a Masters bet we’re making right now, adding to our collection of free golf picks and Masters picks and predictions.

Brooks Koepka to win outright (+2,000)

With Brooks Koepka already trading as short as +1,400 through Caesars to win the 2024 Masters, time is running out to land an inflated number for the major championship demon. He's heading to the LIV Golf Miami event this week in sound yet unspectacular form, but his golf odds will continue to drop, so the value window is closing.

Rewind a year: Koepka took down the LIV Orlando event and then parlayed it into a 54-hole lead at Augusta National that ultimately resulted in a T2 finish at the 2023 Masters.

It’s particularly encouraging that he finished second in true strokes gained on approach, ninth in true strokes gained tee-to-green, and fourth in true strokes gained putting in last year’s Masters, too. He's also gained strokes tee-to-green across the board to rank seventh in strokes gained average through four LIV Golf events this season.

Of course, his Masters resume also includes a T2 finish in 2019 and another pair of Top-15 results, and let’s not forget "Mr. Major Championships" himself went under par in 10 consecutive rounds beginning in the middle of 2017 Masters right through the final round of the 2020 event.

Add his additional 12 Top-5 results in major championships and I’m as confident in Koepka playing well at Augusta as he is in himself.

Let’s face it. He’s a player... and he plays at his best when the stakes are the highest.

Circling back to the price: the gap in the +2,000 BetMGM odds and the +1,400 Caesars price checks out as a positive expected value of a monster 41%. Again, I don’t anticipate him trading at +2,000 this weekend or at any point leading into Thursday’s opening round.

Pick: Brooks Koepka to win outright (+2,000 at BetMGM)

He loves to lean on his rolodex of idioms to offset his inner nerd. When it comes to wagering, he throws down on anything that catches his eye at bet365, Betway and BetVictor. He also keeps a close eye on CoolBet because the polar bear brand often has outlier NHL and NFL moneyline prices.

If his decade-plus teaching run taught him anything about sports betting, it’s to stay the course and use the summer – or offseason – to refresh and prepare to be better in the year to come.

Neil’s top pieces of advice for recreational bettors are to stay within your means and to remember sportsbooks aren’t bank accounts. Don’t be afraid to pull those winnings and treat yourself to a lifetime experience courtesy of a big win.
