Back-to-back PLAYERS Champion Scottie Scheffler will look to make it three straight titles at one of the most prestigious events of the PGA Tour season.
He's the clear +500 favorite but one of the year's strongest fields will look to dethrone the World No. 1 and crown a new champion at TPC Sawgrass.

THE PLAYERS Championship field
Scottie Scheffler has been solid if not impressive since returning from a hand injury this year. He's gone T9-T25-T3-T11 in four starts since the start of February and played four consistent rounds (71-72-71-70) at Bay Hill last time out.
Still, the back-to-back PLAYERS champ is in good enough form to justify his No. 1 betting favorite status, with books listing him as short as +500.
World No. 3 Rory McIlroy sits second on the board at 10/1 despite some so-so results at TPC Sawgrass in recent years. Since winning in 2019, Rory has missed two cuts and hasn't finished better than T19 (2024). He won at Pebble Beach just over a month ago and has finished T17 and T15 in his two starts since.
Collin Morikawa is third after a close-call runner-up finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last weekend, which came just two months after a runner-up at the Sentry. He finished T45 here a year ago but finished a career-best T13 in 2023.
Ludvig Aberg and Justin Thomas round out the Top 5 at 16/1 and 20/1 apiece. Aberg finished eighth in his TPC Sawgrass; JT won in 2021 and also finished T3 in 2016.
