Masters Predictions, Picks and Golf Best Bets for Round 4: Riding With Reed

Patrick Reed may not be on the verge of a crazy comeback win at Augusta National, but the 2018 Masters champion can still make some noise on Sunday, and Neil Parker thinks he'll finish in the Top 5.

Rory McIlroy takes a two-shot lead into the final round of the 2025 Masters as he looks to etch his name in the history books and complete the career grand slam on Sunday, April 13.

He’ll look to fend off the reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau in a dream final pairing, while Canadian Corey Conners and 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed will look to make an early Sunday move.

Here are my Round 4 Masters predictions for the eclectic Sunday ahead.

Best Masters Round 4 predictions

Finishing position pick: Patrick Reed Top 5 (including ties)
+140 at DraftKings

The putter is heating up for Patrick Reed, and him scoring better in consecutive rounds aligns with his improvement in true strokes gained putting in Round 2 and again in Round 3. He knows how to golf his ball around Augusta National, with his 2018 win propped up by three more Top 10s and a T12 last year.

Reed has also gained true strokes across the board while impressively ranking fourth in the around-the-green and tee-to-green metrics. He’s also only missed six fairways and made seven bogeys all week — better yet, he’s kept the crippling double-bogeys off the card entirely.

Round 4 most birdies or better: Justin Thomas
+2500 at DraftKings

Justin Thomas entered the 2025 Masters gaining true strokes on approaches in 14 consecutive events and ranked third in this field during the nearly year-long run. Somewhat amazingly, he’s lost true strokes off-the-tee, on approaches, and tee-to-green through the first three rounds.

He’ll be one of the first players out tomorrow morning in the third pairing, so I’m expecting the two-time major champion to flip the script and cash in on the pending statistical correction ahead of his ball-striking.

Plus, Thomas ranks second in birdie-or-better percentage on the PGA Tour, and he has rebounded in style under the bright lights already this year at THE PLAYERS. Thomas fired an opening-round 78 only to take a run at breaking the course record the following day with a 62 that featured 11 circles on the card.

Matchup pick: Akshay Bhatia Over Hideki Matsuyama
+120 at DraftKings

It’s been an absolute roller coaster for Akshay Bhatia through three rounds in the 2025 Masters, so there’s definitely a wide range of outcomes for the 23-year-old American. Still, Hideki Matsuyama might be playing at less than 100%.

The 2021 Masters champion has lost driving distance in consecutive rounds, and after pacing the field in true strokes gained tee-to-green in Round 2, Matsuyama dropped all the way to 50th in the metric and didn’t put a single circle on his Saturday card. If this was another event, there’s he’d potentially opt out.

It’s also notable that Matsuyama missed consecutive cuts before heading to Augusta National, and he has a lengthy injury history. Landing plus-money odds on Bhatia seals the nod.
