The PGA Tour heads to the Sunshine State and PGA National for this week’s Cognizant Classic to kick-start the Florida Swing.

This is one of the better fields the event has seen in recent years, and I’m looking to the top of the Cognizant Classic odds list, with Shane Lowry headlining my top golf picks this week.

Golf picks for the Cognizant Classic 2025

Cognizant Classic outright picks

Pick to win: Shane Lowry
+2200 at bet365

Pair the course history with Shane Lowry gaining true strokes across the board over his past 11 events, and it’s easy to see why the Palm Beach Gardens resident is among the betting favorites to finally break through for a victory at PGA National.

He has three consecutive Top-5 finishes in this event and ranks second in true strokes gained tee-to-green, including 10th on approach during the noted 11-tournament run. Of course, the Irishman also carded a solo second at Pebble Beach to kick-start the month.

Pick to win: Daniel Berger
+2800 at DraftKings

The bounce-back win is coming for Daniel Berger. He heads to the Cognizant Classic following a T2 at the Phoenix Open and solo 12th at The Genesis, and the four-time PGA Tour winner has a record of success at PGA National with three Top 5s.

He also paces this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green across his highlighted past two events, which includes ranking fourth in driving accuracy.

Cognizant Classic prop picks

Finishing position pick: Davis Thompson Top 30
+110 at DraftKings

Davis Thompson is among the best all-around players teeing it up at PGA National this week, and he’s coming off a solid T13 at The Genesis while gaining true strokes across the board.

While he carded a ho-hum T47 in his debut at this event last year, Thompson showed off with an opening-round 67 while pacing the field in true strokes gained tee-to-green. He also ranks fourth in this year’s field in the metric dating back to his T9 showing at last summer's U.S. Open.

He's mispriced this week, and I consider him one of the better Cognizant Classic sleeper picks on the board.

Finishing position pick: Lucas Glover Top 40
-105 at bet365

Lucas Glover heads to PGA National for the 15th time this week, and he’s played the weekend in each of his past three trips while also carding a pair of T4s in the event (2013 and 2019).

This track requires accuracy and precision, and Glover's a ball-striking machine. He ranks fourth in this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green, which includes ranking second on approach and seventh in driving accuracy across his past 10 events.

Add checking out 29th in true strokes gained putting to carding a trio of T3s during the 10-tournament stretch, and I’m anticipating another solid week from Glover to begin the Florida Swing.

Cognizant Classic first-round pick

Round 1 pick: Sungjae Im Under 4.5 birdies
-105 at Caesars

The 2020 winner of this event has faded since the victory with a pair of missed cuts bookending a T42 the past three years, and he's also limping into this year’s edition with three consecutive underwhelming finishes.

He missed the cut at The Genesis and has lost true strokes on approach in three consecutive events to rank 120th in this field in the metric across the three-tournament stretch.

He's gone 12 consecutive loops at PGA National without recording more than five birdies in a round and ranks 136th in Round-1 scoring average on the PGA Tour.
