RBC Heritage Sleeper Picks and Predictions: Home Sweet Homa

Max Homa made waves with a bounceback performance at Augusta National last week, and if he can parlay that into another good week at Harbour Town, his 120/1 price could pay off in spades.

The first major championship of the golf season is in the books, and we’ve got another stacked field heading to Harbour Town for the RBC Heritage.

While World No. 1 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler headlines the betting favorites in the RBC Heritage odds, my top sleeper and longshot golf picks are looking further down the board and headlined by Daniel Berger.

RBC Heritage sleeper predictions

Sleeper pick to win: Daniel Berger
+5000 at FanDuel

It’s been a return to peak form for Daniel Berger, and he’s gained true strokes across the board while carding six Top 25s across his past seven events. The four-time PGA Tour winner has played the weekend in each of his past five trips to Harbour Town, including a solid T3 in 2020.

I also value that he’s improved in true strokes gained approach in each of his past four visits and heads to the 2025 edition ranked 13th in true strokes gained tee-to-green, second in driving accuracy, and 16th in true strokes gained putting in this field during the highlighted seven-tournament stretch.

Sleeper pick to win: Bud Cauley
+8000 at FanDuel

Bud Cauley is dialed in and has carded a T6-T4-T5 run across his past three events while gaining an average of +1.90 true strokes tee-to-green, +1.18 on approach, and +0.78 on the greens. He also finished T9 in the 2017 RBC Heritage and will be heading to Harbour Town for the eighth time.

This is a stacked, signature-event field, but Cauley showed he can hang with the best with his T6 showing at THE PLAYERS in mid-March.

Sleeper pick to win: Max Homa
+12000 at FanDuel

The six-time PGA Tour winner missed five consecutive cuts before his breakthrough T12 at the Masters, and Max Homa finished the opening major ranked 12th in true strokes gained on approach and fourth in true strokes gained putting.

While I’m not willing to declare that Homa’s all the way back, he has to feel as confident as he has since last year’s T3 at Augusta National. His track record at Harbour Town doesn’t jump off the page, but this is an incredibly long number for a player with his resume.

If it continues to click for him this week, we may never see him in this odds range again.
