In one of the most shocking finishes ever, Rich Strike has won the 2022 Kentucky Derby! Rich Strike was ridden by jockey Sonny Leon and trained by Eric Reed. His closing odds were 80/1. Rich Strike replaced Ethereal Road in the race, who was scratched yesterday.

Derby favorite Epicenter was the runner-up, with Zandon finishing in third.
