Are you ready for some football? The NFL kicks off its 2023 preseason on Thursday, August 3 with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game featuring the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns

Both teams finished with identical 7-10 records in 2022, but there's plenty of reason for optimism entering this season, especially in Gotham, where the Jets will have a whole new look on offense after acquiring four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. His presence alone has vaulted Gang Green into the Top 10 of the Super Bowl odds board and has many fans anticipating a deep playoff run for the first time in more than a decade.

The Browns, meanwhile, should benefit from a full season from veteran signal caller Deshaun Watson, who was limited to just six games a year ago due to disciplinary issues. The three-time Pro Bowler looked sharp in OTAs during the spring and is eager to let his put his past transgressions behind him. "The future is definitely bright for the Cleveland Browns," Watson recently told Cleveland.com. "Regardless of what people say or what people think, I’m here for a reason."

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game isn't the only big sporting event in August. Fans can also look forward to Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz, the WNBA Commissioner's Cup Championship Game, UFC 292, the Little League World Series, and the U.S. Open.
