It’s been a busy 2024 for Fanatics Sportsbook already.
The sports betting operator continued its migration into licensed U.S. states by launching its mobile app in Iowa.
Fanatics Sportsbook posted on its social media accounts around 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday that it was live in the Hawkeye State.

The company that purchased PointsBet’s U.S. holdings in 2023 for $225 million added Pennsylvania and Vermont to its platform migration last month. Iowa marks the 12th market for Fanatics’ online presence. It operates retail sportsbooks in three other states.
Previous PointsBet customers can download the Fanatics Sportsbook app and use their existing log-in information.
Fanatics Gaming and Betting, which launched in 2021, is looking to attract Iowans with FanCash, which gives back 5% of wagers to bettors. FanCash can be used as bonus bets or at the Fanatics online retail store.
Fanatics Sportsbook will need to attract bettors in a competitive state. Iowans already have options from nearly 20 operators, including FanDuel, DraftKings, ESPN BET, BetMGM, Caesars, and Circa Sports.

Fanatics Sportsbook is also live in Connecticut, Colorado, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Fanatics launched its online product and third retail sportsbook in Connecticut in December after the sportsbook was chosen to be one of only three Nutmeg State-allowed operators. Fanatics replaced PlaySugarHouse and joined DraftKings and FanDuel.
Fanatics will also be one of the initial sports betting operators in North Carolina when online wagering goes live on March 11. Fanatics partnered with PNC Arena, home of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, to ensure market access, although an operating license hasn’t yet been obtained.

Fanatics Sportsbook is still under review for non-compliance in Massachusetts.
The Old Bay State’s gaming commission discovered a second issue involving in-state collegiate betting, which is prohibited by law in Massachusetts.
Fanatics Sportsbook took an illegal wager on a Boston College bowl game in December before allowing a Boston University basketball game in the same month to be included in a five-leg parlay. Both wagers were canceled before the events started, but the sportsbook faces sanctions from the Investigation and Enforcement Bureau.
