PENN Entertainment Launches theScore Casino App in Canada

PENN Entertainment has revealed a new casino app in Ontario, hosting a variety of slots, table games and live dealer content.

This new Ontario online casino is available on Android, iOS, and desktop, customers can login using their existing theScore Bet credentials and will operate on the same technology platform as PENN’s online Hollywood Casino, which launched as a standalone product in Pennsylvania back in mid-December.

theScore has been a mainstay for informing fans and customers on real-time scores, statistics and information for decades in Canada, along with the United States.

The iGaming platform offers a variety of online slot/table games and live dealer content, including original titles from PENN Game Studios, the company’s in-house game development studio. They also host live dealer tables and exclusive games surrounding the Toronto Blue Jays including Blue Jays Blackjack.

“We’re excited to introduce our dedicated iCasino product in Ontario under the well-known and trusted theScore brand,” said Aaron LaBerge, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Interactive, PENN Entertainment said in a news release.

“We’ve built a strong online gaming foothold in the Ontario market and are primed to deliver an even better casino experience with our proven stand-alone app. Our customer-friendly platform features more than 1,200 games, dozens of original titles and intuitive game play that distinguishes our product and positions us for even greater success.”

Q4 earnings

Back in February, PENN Entertainment reported its interactive division improved fourth-quarter revenue from $31.5 million to $275 million between 2023 and 2024. For the year, revenue grew from $719 million to $960 million.

ESPN BET launched in 17 states back in November 2023.
