Phone number: (215) 551-8270

The South Philadelphia Race & Sportsbook (formerly the South Philadelphia Turf Club) is conveniently located near all the professional sports stadiums in Philly: Lincoln Financial Field, Wells Fargo Center, and Citizens Bank Park. Its location makes it a solid spot for fans wanting to pop in and place a bet before attending a game in the area.

The sportsbook does not feature a huge video wall like most of the other sportsbooks in the area. There are a ton of screens, however, with a wall-to-wall row of televisions suspended from the ceiling all around the facility. There are well over 100 high-definition screens in total. With all the screens, this place very much feels like a racebook, which makes sense considering that was its original purpose.

The seating options are limited at your standard table-and-chair setups or bar seating. The facility is quite big and can easily accommodate a couple of hundred people comfortably.

There are multiple betting options at the Race & Sportsbook. Traditionalists can walk up to the betting counter and place a bet. Just be sure to have the rotation number handy when you do. There are also plenty of betting kiosks available around the facility for those who prefer to tap their way to a wager. Bettors can also download the Parx Sportsbook app and place bets from anywhere in Pennsylvania.

There is food available at the Race & Sportsbook, though both menus are limited. The deli menu features soups, sandwiches, hot dogs, and wraps. The regular menu has appetizers, salads, burgers & sandwiches, and pizzas. Drinks are available will full bar service.

Overall, the South Philadelphia Race & Sportsbooks won't blow you away with a giant video wall and comfortable leather recliners. What it does have going for it is that it's close to the professional stadiums and has over 100 screens, meaning it's a fine place to make bets and watch sports if you're in the area.
