PrizePicks hit home with its latest partnership.
The daily fantasy sports operator announced a deal on Tuesday with MLB’s Atlanta Braves.
The extended partnership between two organizations headquartered in the same city builds upon a relationship established in 2020. PrizePicks serves as the official DFS partner for the Braves in the 2024 season.
“We are thrilled to continue our ever-growing relationship with the Atlanta Braves,” said Adam Wexler, PrizePicks CEO and co-founder. “As a homegrown company born in Atlanta, it is a priority for us at PrizePicks to engage with local fans by continuing to bring amazing experiences to Braves Country.”
PrizePicks will be prominently displayed with signage at Truist Park, home of the Braves, and in the outfield. The deal also allows for a sponsored “Pick of the Game” on Braves Radio Network pregame radio show this regular season, along with other VIP experiences.
“PrizePicks has been a valued partner for years,” Jim Allen, Braves senior vice president of corporate and premium partnerships, said. “They are the leader in their industry and a prominent local Atlanta business, and we are happy to extend our relationship with them for the 2024 season.”
Company expansion
PrizePicks has had a busy 2024, showing growth as business.
The company signed a similar deal with the Dallas Stars to become the official DFS partner of the NHL franchise. PrizePicks also landed UFC star “Suga” Sean O’Malley to be a brand ambassador.
PrizePicks recently announced a new headquarters in Atlanta and a plan to add 1,000 jobs over the next seven years.
The Braves are a perfect match with the popularity of DFS games and the fresh MLB season. The defending NL East champions are off to a 6-3 start in 2024.
Operational changes
The DFS operator is available in 34 U.S. jurisdictions and Canada. It’s run into legal troubles recently in Massachusetts, where it can no longer operate its pick'em-style games, and New York, where PrizePicks reached a $15 million settlement with regulators in order to seek a license.
The murky waters of DFS and traditional sportsbooks has forced PrizePicks to create a peer-to-peer game that it continues to roll out in several states.
