Another online sports betting site is offering players the opportunity to wager on the next bucket in basketball, the next pitch in baseball, or the outcome of the next drive in football.

Caesars Sportsbook and Simplebet announced Thursday that they have a multi-year agreement for real-money microbetting.

The new partnership will now provide Caesars users with Simplebet-powered microbetting markets for the NFL, NBA, college football and basketball, and, once the season rolls around again, MLB.

“Play-by-play betting is an innovation that we know our customers want access to,” Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, said in a press release. “We’re excited to enhance our product experience by bringing customers closer to the sports, teams and athletes they love than ever before at a time when the sports calendar is packed with marquee events.”

A 'must-have offering'

The agreement adds another operator to the growing list of bookmakers that are offering their users microbetting markets, such as wagering on whether the next play in an NFL game will be a run or pass. Those markets can prompt players to place more wagers for an event and to remain more engaged in a game because they can bet throughout it, which is something that interests both leagues and bookmakers.

Simplebet, which was founded in 2018, was already providing microbetting markets for sites belonging to DraftKings and bet365. According to Simplebet, it is nearing $1 billion in total handle through its partners after a “record-setting” year for in-play betting on Major League Baseball.

Caesars also announced earlier this month that it was the first U.S. sportsbook to stream a live NFL game.

“Forging a partnership with an iconic brand and leader in sports betting such as Caesars accentuates that micro-betting is becoming an emerging feature of the betting landscape and a must-have offering for any major sportsbook,” Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua said in Thursday’s release. “Micro-betting has transformed the way fans, operators and media companies view live sporting events and we’re thrilled to work with such a dynamic partner to accelerate its widespread adoption.
