Caitlin Clark is on the verge of setting the NCAA women’s basketball record for career points scored.
The Iowa Hawkeyes star guard needs eight points in Thursday’s 8 p.m. game against the Michigan Wolverines to pass Kelsey Plum and reach 3,528 points.

Top scorer
Sportsbooks have the 3-pointer as the likeliest way Clark breaks the record because, well, that’s her specialty. She leads the nation this season, averaging 5.2 makes from beyond the arc.
Clark, who’s averaging an NCAA-best 32.1 points per game, has a point total for Thursday’s game set at 36.5 at FanDuel.
The Hawkeyes are heavily favored to win at -18.5 (-110), and DraftKings set the total at 154.5.
Prestigious career
Clark is one of the best NCAA women’s basketball players in history. She won numerous Player of the Year awards last season and is a two-time unanimous All-American.
Clark’s prowess has Iowa among the top teams in the country. At 22-3 overall and 11-2 in Big Ten play, the Hawkeyes are the third team listed on FanDuel at +950 to win the 2023-24 NCAA championship. South Carolina is listed at +100 with LSU second at +600.
