The Angels offense has been god-awful lately and we don't see their luck changing against Kevin Gausman this afternoon.

The Toronto Blue Jays look to sweep the Los Angeles Angels for the second time in two weeks as they finish off a four-game set at Rogers Centre this afternoon.

The Jays come into the series finale as the massive home favorite as Kevin Gausman takes the mound, and with the Angels offense scoring just eight runs in three games, our Angels vs. Blue Jays predictions expect another low-scoring affair.

Angels vs Blue Jays prediction

My best bet
Under 8.5 (-122 at PROLINE+)

My analysis
Bowden Francis was the star of the show on Saturday as he recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts and carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning to help the Toronto Blue Jays earn a 3-1 win against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Jays will hand the ball over to Kevin Gausman for the series finale this afternoon as the veteran looks to keep the Angels bats quiet — a task that shouldn’t be too difficult considering how the visitors have performed lately.

L.A. has managed just eight runs through the first three games of the series, though the club’s offensive struggles extend far beyond just this weekend. The Angels are 2-10 over their last 12 games and have averaged a mere 2.67 runs per contest during that span and own the league's fifth-worst offense this season at a lowly 3.95 runs per game.

Unsurprisingly, the low-scoring Angels have cashed the Under in five of their last seven games while Toronto and L.A. have hit the Under in seven of their last nine meetings dating back to last season.

Blue Jays star player prop

My best bet
Ernie Clement Over 0.5 RBI (+190 at PROLINE+)

My analysis
Ernie Clement has emerged as one of Toronto’s top hitters in the second half, with his 20 RBI in 32 games trailing only Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (26) for the team lead. The third baseman has turned it on over the last two weeks, with 11 runs driven in through 10 outings.

Clement went 0-for-4 on Saturday, snapping a four-game RBI streak that also included a run of three straight contests with a homer, but I like him to get back on track this afternoon. Angels starter Tyler Anderson has struggled with a 5.96 ERA this month and was just rocked by the Jays for seven runs on August 14.
