The total moved from 7 to 7.5, with the Over seeing 64 percent of bets/58 percent of money.

Starting pitchers
Kevin Gausman (8-1, 1.49 ERA): Since giving up two earned runs in four innings against the Washington Nationals on June 12, Gausman has responded with 15 innings of work and just three total earned runs over his last two starts. The righty has shown that his first half of the year was no fluke, and he’ll now look to go out and blank the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The last time he faced them, Gausman threw six innings of shutout ball.
Walker Buehler (7-1, 2.51 ERA): Buehler has started two games against the Giants this season, and he has allowed just two earned runs over 13 innings against San Francisco. The righty is, however, coming off a start in which he allowed two homers in a loss to the Chicago Cubs, and one of his very few faults is that he can occasionally be prone to giving up home runs. If he can keep it in the park, he should have another impressive outing here.

The Dodgers haven’t been able to get to Gausman this season, but they do have plenty of guys that have crushed him in the past.
In his career, Mookie Betts is 15-for-43 with a double, three homers, and seven RBIs against the righty, while Justin Turner is 4-for-11 with two doubles, a homer, and three RBIs versus the righty. Meanwhile, Cody Bellinger is just 2-or-12 with no homers against Gausman, but one would think he’s due to take him yard pretty soon. The 25-year-old is finally getting hot for Los Angeles right now. He homered in back-to-back games to end the series against Chicago, and it’s only a matter of time before he does it again.
Overall, this just seems like a game where this Dodgers offense could breakthrough and put a decent number on the board. Gausman’s ERA won’t stay under 2.00 all year.
On the other side, this Giants lineup has combined to hit just .132 with one homer and seven RBIs in 81 at-bats against Buehler. The righty has absolutely cruised in most of his starts against this team.
In his career, Buehler is 5-0 with a 2.51 ERA against San Francisco, and it just wouldn’t be surprising if he went out there and gave the Dodgers seven innings of one or two-run ball.
PREDICTION: Dodgers (-150)
Over/Under pick
Despite the fact that both of these starters have had very little trouble navigating the opposing lineups in this game, the total has gone from 7.0 at open to 7.5. That seems like a bit of a trap, as everything about this game screams Under.
However, the Dodgers are finally approaching full strength, so perhaps Gausman will struggle to dominate what should be one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball the rest of the way.
For what it’s worth, he has had some trouble against some of these hitters individually in the past. Meanwhile, Buehler is an excellent pitcher the majority of the time, but he does occasionally make some big mistakes.
With that said, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if this game finishes with eight or nine runs scored. That means it might be a good idea to fade the public and play the Over.
