With four matinee matchups on the MLB betting board today, there are baseball prop bets to dive into all day long.

We open by looking at one of the most profitable first-five inning pitchers in the MLB as Lance Lynn takes the ball for the White Sox this afternoon. Then we shift our focus to hitters as the AL MVP favorites face off when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays take on Shohei Ohtani and the Angels.

We break down and pick these games and more with our best free MLB prop bets and predictions for Wednesday, August 11.

Today’s MLB props and picks

White Sox -0.5 Five-Inning Runline (-125)

Let’s begin the day with an American League Central matinee as the Chicago White Sox close out their series with the rival Minnesota Twins.

The Pale Hose hand the ball to their best starter in Lance Lynn, and the right-hander has been outstanding in his first season with the Southsiders. Lynn is pitching to a career-best 2.04 ERA and is limiting opponents to a .200 batting average.

The Twins counter Lynn with Baliey Ober, and while the rookie right-hander has logged some solid innings for the Twins, he hasn’t had much success against the White Sox. Chicago has gotten to Ober for a 6.23 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP in his four starts against them this season, taking him deep six times.

Lynn, on the other hand, has dominated the Twins this season, allowing just four earned runs on 16 hits in 24 innings of work over four starts. Lynn has been one of the most profitable first-five starters this season and he should improve on that in this matchup.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Despite the fact he is still the major-league leader in several offensive categories, Toronto Blue Jays star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is in a bit of a slump. Vladdy is just five for his last 28 (.179) heading into tonight’s matchup with the Los Angeles Angels.

But if there is anyone who can help break Guerrero out of that slump, it’s Angels starter Dylan Bundy. Things were going so badly for Bundy at one point this season that he was booted from the rotation before returning to it the last time through.

On top of his 6.14 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP, Bundy also ranks in the bottom 22nd percentile of the MLB when it comes to expected slugging and the bottom 16th percentile barrel percentage. This essentially means his pitches are easy to barrel up and are getting whacked.

Additionally, Bundy is allowing right-handed batters to hit for a .258 average with a .812 OPS while Vladdy is crushing right-handers for a .331 average and a 1.089 OPS. Bet on Vladdy to get back on track in this one and bet the Over on his total bases prop.

Kevin Gausman Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-115)

After a mini three-game slump for Kevin Gausman, the San Francisco Giants ace bounced back with a solid performance against the lowly Arizona Diamondbacks. Gausman allowed one run on five hits while striking out eight over six innings of work, and he’ll get the chance to do it all over again as he and the Giants host the D-backs tonight.

Gausman being one of the best pitchers in the National League has been one of the bigger surprises in baseball this season, but the numbers don’t lie. The right-hander has a 2.31 ERA, a 2.91 FIP, is limiting opponents to a .181 batting average, and strikes out 10.7 batters per nine innings.

And those strikeout numbers have been up since the start of July, with Gausman punching out 12.1 batters per nine in his last six starts. He faces a D-backs team that ranks 22nd in strikeouts this and has been rung up 38 times over the last three games.

Additionally, in three starts against Arizona this season, Gausman has recorded eight, six, and nine strikeouts. He’s a good bet to go Over his strikeout total prop in this one.

The sportsbook where he does the bulk of his betting is bet365 thanks to its numerous prop betting options and competitive odds. His best advice? Find the balance between the numbers and what you see on the playing field. Then find the best price using multiple books. And don’t ask him where the nickname Taco comes from. It’s not an interesting story. Seriously.
