After an oddly slow Monday of MLB action we are back to a full betting card with 15 games on the slate for today. That means a cornucopia of MLB prop bets for hungry baseball bettors to sink their teeth into.

We open with a total-bases prop for one of baseball’s hottest hitters as Jesse Winker and the Cincinnati Reds host the Milwaukee Brewers, and we also get a good strikeout number for Tyler Glasnow who has been dominant at the Trop.

We break down and pick those games and more with our best free MLB prop bets and predictions for Tuesday, June 8.

Today’s MLB props and picks

Jesse Winker Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)

Jesse Winker rakes. That’s putting it simply, but the Cincinnati Reds outfielder has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season and he’ll look to stay hot when they visit the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.

Winker is hitting .350 with a 1.077 OPS while hammering 17 home runs with 37 RBIs in 57 games. The lefty slugger has been particularly hot lately, getting hits in 11 of his last 14 games, which includes nine dingers.

Winker is also salivating at tonight’s matchup against Adrian Houser. Winker has owned the Brewers’ starter over the course of his career, going 8-13 (.615) with five dingers. That includes a 3-3 with two long balls earlier this season.

While Houser has a solid ERA of 3.86, his FIP sits at 4.88 and ranks in the bottom seventh percentile in hard-hit percentage this season. Bet Winker to go Over his total bases prop with confidence in this one.

Pablo Lopez Under 4.5 Hits Allowed (+125)

The Miami Marlins bumped Pablo Lopez’s start back by a day and now the right-hander will open tonight’s series against the visiting Colorado Rockies.

Lopez has carried over his breakout 2020 campaign to this season, pitching to a 2.82 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP, but he has been even more dominant at home. Lopez lowers those numbers to 0.98 and 0.87 at Marlins Park while limiting opponents to a .171 batting average.

Lopez now faces a Rockies lineup that is the worst in the MLB when it comes to hitting on the road. The Rockies rank dead last in batting average (.197), OPS (.563), and hit per game (6.27) in road games this season. To make matters worse for Colorado they could still be without top hitter Trevor Story, who is questionable to play this one with an elbow injury.

This is a low number, but considering Lopez has held opponents below this number six times this season and the putrid hitting numbers the Rockies put up away from home, then getting this kind of plus money here is a great value.

Tyler Glasnow Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-125)

Tyler Glasnow and the Tampa Bay Rays return home to begin a series with the Washington Nationals, and that could mean bad news for the Nats, as the Rays’ right-hander has been dominant at the Trop.

Glasnow has been excellent all season, pitching to a 2.69 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP but at home, those numbers drop to 1.72 and 0.74. The right-hander’s strikeout numbers also bump up when pitching on his home mound, notching 13.5 punchouts per nine innings.

While the Nationals don’t strike out a ton, they still get rung up 8.93 times per game when playing away from home and facing teams that don’t strike out a lot hasn’t mattered to the Rays’ strikeout artist. Glasnow has gone Over this number in games against the Royals, Blue Jays, Angels, A’s, and Mets, who all rank in the top half of the MLB in strikeouts per game.

Glasnow has also gone Over this number nine times in his 12 starts this season and seven times in his last eight games overall.

MLB betting card for June 8

  • Jesse Winker Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
  • Pablo Lopex Under 4.5 Hits Allowed (+125)
  • Tyler Glasnow Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-125)
