My analysis
The Texas Rangers find themselves in a concerning spot heading into the final days of June, a year removed from their World Series title. They sit 5.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot even after their four-game win streak and sport a negative run differential.
They'll look to even up this series by sending Andrew Heaney to the mound, who hasn't been great by any means and has seemingly had horrid luck when it comes to run support.
Making matters worse, Heaney has had his fair share of struggles against this Milwaukee Brewers roster, allowing a .366 average and .659 slugging percentage despite posting a 25% strikeout rate.
He hasn't been much better in that regard this season, ranking in just the 38th percentile in expected batting average (xBA) while ranking in the seventh percentile in average exit velocity allowed on batted balls and 25th percentile in hard-hit rate.
Heaney should struggle enough with this lineup to give the Brewers an early lead.
