They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and for Toronto Blue Jays fans from coast to coast, I honor you with this picture of a dumbfounded Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Much like Vladdy (and myself), the entire Blue Jays fan base is stunned that the team and their star slugger failed to reach a contract extension before the deadline.
With optimism surrounding the Jays fading fast, the Vladimir Guerrero next team odds will do nothing but leave a sour taste in your mouth — similar to the Shohei Ohtani saga, the Juan Soto sweepstakes, or every other free agent pursuit the Jays struck out on.
Vladimir Guerrero next team odds
This market clearly states "If Not Toronto"...which is why the Blue Jays are not among the MLB odds.

Who will sign Vladimir Guerrero Jr.?
Boston Red Sox
I will try my best to not put the cart before the horse, but the Boston Red Sox may have the inside and outside track at signing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. when next season's free agency period begins.
Close friends of the Dominican slugger indicate that Vladdy would love to ply his trade in Boston, and right now, they appear to be the only team in the AL East willing and able to make it happen.
It also helps that Vladdy enjoys playing at Fenway Park where he’s a career .356 hitter with 10 home runs, 25 walks, and 44 RBIs across 206 plate appearances in Boston’s home turf.
The addition of Guerrero could set the Red Sox up for success now and into the future with the combination of Vlad and Rafael Devers leading the way, alongside newly acquired Alex Bregman.
It would be the ultimate gut punch for the Blue Jays, but at least it's not the Yankees, right?
New York Yankees
Oh would you look at that, the New York Yankees are high on this list, and with good reason.
The absence of Juan Soto will hurt the offense, and despite signing Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year deal, they'll be looking to restock that first base production in a big way for 2026 and beyond.
Cue, Vlad Jr.
He'll have no issues hitting at the shoebox which is Yankee Stadium and the Yankees may be willing to shell out some cash in order to see a division rival (in this case two) suffer similar fates and miss out on this all-world talent.
While I personally will be praying this doesn't happen, the Evil Empire always finds a way to strike back.
Atlanta Braves
I wanted to write a bunch of stuff here about why Guerrero Jr. would be a great fit in Atlanta, but every time I would write a sentence like "he'd be a great DH replacement for Marcel Ozuna" or "he'd fit in well with the young core and help lead the Braves back to the peak of baseball", I'd delete it.
Only one real sentence comes to mind, and for true Blue Jays fans, this will hurt more than seeing him play for the Red Sox or Yankees.
"Alex Anthopoulos has the chance to do the funniest thing ever."
