The New York Yankees scored 15 runs Saturday to level their inter-league series with the Milwaukee Brewers ahead of Sunday’s rubber-game matchup.
My Yankees vs. Brewers predictions aren't expecting the Yanks to get out that strong of a start today, and you can find out why I'm backing Milwaukee early in my MLB picks below for this April 28 matinee.

My analysis
Milwaukee Brewers rookie righty Tobias Myers threw the ball well in his MLB debut this past week, scattering four hits with four punchouts and a walk.
Myers deployed a healthy diet of four-seam fastballs and cutters with the slider as his out pitch against Pittsburgh. While the result wasn’t what the Brewers had hoped for, Myers showed great poise and solid command in his first away start.
The rookie righty will be tasked with getting Milwaukee back on track after watching the New York Yankees plate 15 runs in an embarrassing 15-3 loss.
Fortunately for Myers, a Brewers offense that didn’t appear for him in Pittsburgh may have better success today at home against Yanks righty Marcus Stroman.
Stroman has allowed nine earned runs across his last 15 2/3 frames on the hill. He’s punched out 18 with seven free passes, but his command issues have led to four home runs during that three-game stretch.
Milwaukee doesn’t strike out much (22.8%) or walk much (8.7%) and leads MLB in runs scored against right-handed pitching. The Brewers' bats were starting to catch fire: they scored 17 runs in their three games before last night's drubbing, and they can get hot against Stroman.
Finally, the Yankees have never faced Tobias, giving the rookie a slight edge over the Bronx Bombers. He’ll be aided by a forecast calling for showers throughout the ballgame, and his off-speed stuff will stymie N.Y. bats lacking much success against the off-speed stuff.
Milwaukee has hit the most bombs with the most runs scored in baseball against righties, and Stroman has been less-than-dominant this season. Milwaukee wins the first five innings.
Yankees vs Brewers same-game parlay (SGP)
Brewers' shortstop Willy Adames has eight hits across 17 at bats with a couple of bombs against Stroman. The Brewers SS has one hit in two of his last five games and should be good to go against a pitcher he’s had great success against.
Yankees OF Juan Soto enters this matchup riding a five-game hitting streak with a .318/.452/.606/.1.058 slash line against right-handed pitching.
