All-Star Game participants are chosen by a combination of fan, media, player and coach votes, then drafted by the leading vote-getter in each conference.
The late Kobe Bryant, for whom the All-Star MVP is named, shares the all-time lead (four wins) with Bob Pettit.
Generally no, however, Shaquille O'Neal (2000, '04, '09) is the only center to win the award this century.
