Bucks vs Pistons Odds, Picks, and Predictions Tonight: Dame Time in Detroit

Damian Lillard will lead the Bucks into Detroit just 48 hours removed from a 45-point outburst against these same Pistons, except Giannis may be unavailable this time around. Find out what that means for the superstar guard in our NBA picks below.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons will finish off a home-and-home set at Little Caesars Arena tonight as the visitors look to go 2-for-2.

Damian Lillard torched the Pistons for 45 points in their meeting on Saturday and may have to carry the offense again with Giannis Antetokounmpo listed as questionable for tonight’s contest.

Find out if Lillard can put up another big performance in my Bucks vs. Pistons NBA picks and predictions for Monday, January 22.

Bucks vs Pistons predictions

Damian Lillard had his highest-scoring performance in a Milwaukee Bucks uniform on Saturday as he posted 45 points and added 11 assists in a 141-135 win over the Detroit Pistons. The point guard went 12-for-22 from the field, including 5-for-11 from long range, while dropping all 14 of his free throws.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a strong showing of his own with 31 points, 10 boards, and nine assists but the power forward could miss tonight’s rematch with a shoulder contusion. That leaves the door open for Lillard to carry the offense again — an opportunity he’ll likely relish.

Detroit has obviously had a nightmarish season, picking up just four wins to date, and defense has been one of the many areas of concern. The Pistons are allowing 123 points per game — the third-worst mark in the NBA — and have surrendered 130+ points in six of their last 10 outings. Needless to say, Lillard will have plenty of opportunity to run up his totals.

The Bucks point guard has scored 25+ in four of his last five games where he plays at least 30 minutes. If Antetokounmpo is indeed out, Lillard will likely get tons of touches as Milwaukee’s primary offensive option, so he should clear the Over on 26.5 points comfortably.

Even if the Greek Freak is in, Lillard shouldn’t have any issues running it up against the NBA’s worst team.

My best bet: Damian Lillard Over 26.5 points (-125 at PROLINE+)

Bucks vs Pistons same-game parlay

Bucks moneyline

Over 248.5

For tonight’s SGP, I’ll look for the Bucks to pick up the win and both teams to combine for Over 248.5 points.

With Detroit earning just four wins this season, Milwaukee should cruise to victory. The Bucks will want to bear down a little more defensively but it’s also unlikely that Burks scores 30+ points off the bench again like he did on Saturday.

After putting up 141 points against the Pistons on the weekend, the Bucks have scored 130+ points in three of their last five games and should be able to run up the score once again vs. one of the league’s weaker defenses.

On the other side of the coin, Milwaukee has allowed 132.5 points per game over its last four outings, so both teams should put up plenty of offense.

Bucks vs Pistons spread and Over/Under analysis

The Bucks come into tonight’s matchup as the big 12-point favorite with the total set at 247.5 points. While Milwaukee should easily pull out the win, I actually like Detroit to go against the spread while cashing the Over.

The game between these two teams was surprisingly close on Saturday as the Bucks eked out a 6-point win. Milwaukee has had trouble covering the spread in recent weeks as it's gone 1-9 ATS in its last 10 contests while three of its last five wins have been by six points or fewer.

The Pistons, meanwhile, have been keeping most of their losses close, going 4-1 ATS in their last five games. Detroit has not lost by more than seven points in each of its last three defeats.

Milwaukee comes into the contest tied with Indiana for the NBA’s best offense this season at 124.6 points per game, which should push this game toward the Over. The Bucks have cashed the Over in four of their last six games, scoring 129+ points in four of their last five outings.

Detroit has also been playing some high-scoring basketball, cashing the Over in 10 of its last 14 games — though that’s been down to the Pistons’ poor defense more than anything else.

We’ll likely need to see the Pistons put up 115+ points or so to clear the Over tonight, but with Alec Burks as well as Bojan Bogdanovic both averaging more than 20 points per game this month and Cade Cunningham possibly returning to the lineup, I like their chances.
