The perfect Cleveland Cavaliers will be looking for their 12th victory in a row to begin the campaign as they visit the Chicago Bulls in the Windy City tonight.
My Cavaliers vs Bulls predictions are eyeing Darius Garland to keep his hot streak going and help Cleveland grab yet another win. Keep reading for my NBA picks for Monday, November 11.
Cavaliers vs Bulls prediction
My best bet
Darius Garland Over 18.5 points (-120 at bet365)
My analysis
The Cleveland Cavaliers are rolling so far in 2024-25 and sit as the lone unbeaten team in the Association. The core of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley are all doing their part, with Cleveland ranking Top 10 in the league in both offensive and defensive rating.
After a rough 2023-24 season, Garland is fully proving his worth to the Cavs. While he was involved in a flurry of trade rumors this past summer, the guard has used that as motivation to ball out. The former Vanderbilt standout is averaging 20.5 points, 6.6 assists, and 1.9 rebounds on an efficient 47.5% clip from 3-point land.
Garland happens to be on a heater right now, too. He’s hit the Over on his points total in three of the last four games, erupting for 39 in a huge win over the struggling Milwaukee Bucks on November 4.
The Chicago Bulls are 18th in defensive rating and Garland has a hot hand. He’s playing with boatloads of confidence and his teammates have been hyping him up, too.
“My head is free,” Garland said after beating the Bucks. “I’m playing freely. Confidence is super high. Teammates got my back. That is just going to make me keep going even harder. I really appreciate my teammates and my coaching staff for sure, just keeping my confidence super high, just keeping my head level and just telling me to be me. That’s what I’m trying to do for the rest of the season.”
The Over feels like a great bet here.
Cavaliers vs Bulls same-game parlay
Garland is thriving at the moment, and a lot of his success is coming from downtown. As previously mentioned, he’s shooting nearly 50% from long range. Garland is also taking a career-high 7.3 threes per contest with an average of 3.5 makes, which comfortably hits the Over.
Although the 24-year-old was just 2-for-5 from deep on Saturday, he hit the Over in the previous three appearances before that, going 6-for-11, 4-for-6, and 7-for-11.
When you’re as confident as Garland is over the last week, there’s no hesitation to take shots. The Bulls are also around the middle of the pack in the NBA in 3-pointers allowed.
The Bulls swung an offseason trade for Josh Giddey, who was a key piece of the OKC Thunder’s core. But they saw Alex Caruso as a player that could help them even more, and now Giddey has a fresh start in Chicago.
The Aussie has done well so far with respectable averages of 13.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.5 rebounds. I’m going to focus on Giddey’s playmaking here because it’s one of his strongest assets. Giddey has hit the Over in dimes in five straight games, dishing out 20 assists across the last two.
Lonzo Ball is sidelined with a wrist injury and Zach LaVine is more of a bucket-getter than anything else. Giddey is the Bulls’ main facilitator, which is why this is a logical bet, even though Cleveland is stout defensively.
