Nine games are scheduled for Sunday, January 12, and the action gets started early with a marquee matchup in the Big Apple. The Milwaukee Bucks visit the New York Knicks at MSG, and I’m eyeing two picks from that contest involving Jalen Brunson and Damian Lillard.
Elsewhere, two European big men will make their presence felt when the Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings meet in the Windy City.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for January 12
Jalen Brunson 24.5 Points: MORE
Jalen Brunson is putting up solid numbers once again for the third-place Knicks, averaging 25.1 points per night. He’s scored more than 24.5 points in three of his last four appearances, posting 27 in a loss to the red-hot Thunder on Friday at home.
New York faces the Bucks tonight, who Brunson scored just 15 against earlier in the campaign. However, if we look at his numbers last season versus Milwaukee, the guard averaged a mind-boggling 37.2 points per game in five outings.
The Bucks allow nearly 26 points per contest to point guards, too. Brunson will show out.
Damian Lillard 3.5 Threes: MORE
Damian Lillard is an elite 3-point shooter, and he’s draining 37% of his triples in 2024-25. His total is so high because Dame truly does take a lot of threes each game: He’s averaging 3.4 makes on 9.1 attempts per night. The veteran has drained more than 3.5 treys in seven of his last nine contests as well.
The Knicks are towards the bottom of the league in defending the triple, and Lillard is averaging 3.6 makes so far in January.
Nikola Vucevic 18.5 Points: MORE
Nikola Vucevic has found his name in trade rumors ahead of the deadline because he’s enjoying his best season to date as a member of the Chicago Bulls. The big man is averaging 20.3 points and 10.3 rebounds while shooting 43% from downtown.
Vucevic has scored more than 18.5 points in three of his last four outings, dropping 23 on Friday against the Wizards and 24 on January 6 vs Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.
Domantas Sabonis 6.5 Assists: MORE
Domantas Sabonis is averaging 6.2 assists per game, which is definitely solid for a big man.
Sabonis has dished out more than 6.5 dimes in five of his previous seven appearances, even finishing with 11 assists earlier this week against the Miami Heat. Chicago is 29th in the Association in most assists allowed.
Josh Hart 9.5 Rebounds: MORE
Josh Hart is averaging career highs across the board for the Knicks with 14.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. The no-brainer entry for tonight in his rebounding.
The 29-year-old has brought down more than 9.5 boards in nine of his last 10 games. He’s finished with a minimum of 11 rebounds in every single one of those contests.
Darius Garland 21.5 Points: LESS
This is going to be an unpopular entry because Darius Garland is truly balling out for the Cavs this season. While he did erupt for 40 on Thursday against the Raptors, Garland scored less than 21.5 points in three of four outings before that.
Also, Garland only averaged 14.3 ppg against the Pacers last season in three games.
