Nine more games are on the slate across the Association for Thursday, January 23, and the action gets started early with a matchup between the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs in Paris. Two of my entries will focus on Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam.
Elsewhere, I’ll include the likes of Scottie Barnes, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Paolo Banchero.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for January 23
Giannis Antetokounmpo 28.5 Points: MORE
The Greek Freak is having another dominant campaign for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 31.5 points per night. Giannis Antetokounmpo is on a roll as of late, scoring more than 28.5 in three of his last four appearances, dropping 35 and 34 points in back-to-back outings.
The Bucks face the Miami Heat tonight at home and Giannis tends to play well against their Eastern Conference foes. Last season, the big man put up 29.7 points per game in three appearances vs Miami, who is full of drama right now due to the Jimmy Butler trade fiasco. Antetokounmpo will ball out.
Scottie Barnes 20.5 Points: LESS
While Scottie Barnes is the Toronto Raptors' franchise cornerstone, he’s in a bit of a rut. He’s finished with less than 20.5 points in five of his previous seven games, scoring just 17 on Tuesday against the Magic. He also registered a mere 10 points before that against the Bucks.
Toronto takes on the Atlanta Hawks tonight, who Barnes scored 19 points against earlier in the campaign. He’s not too confident at the moment and averages less than 20.5 on the road in 2024-25. I’ll take another quiet night for the Florida State product.
Tyrese Haliburton 2.5 Threes: LESS
Tyrese Haliburton has taken a step back across the board this season. His averages are way down and while he’s shooting 38% from downtown with 2.5 makes on 6.5 attempts per night, the guard is ice-cold from deep lately. Haliburton has finished with less than 2.5 triples in five consecutive.
The Indiana Pacers PG was just 1-for-7 last weekend vs Philly and 2-for-6 two nights prior against Detroit. The two-time All-Star isn’t shooting the three with confidence and averaged just 1.5 makes on 6.5 attempts against the San Antonio Spurs last season. Add in some transatlantic travel, and he’ll struggle from long-range in Paris.
Pascal Siakam 8.5 Rebounds: LESS
Pascal Siakam is a solid rebounder, but his total tonight is too high. The power forward is averaging 7.3 boards per game and while that number has shot up to 8.0 in January, he’s grabbed less than 8.5 rebounds three games in a row.
Indiana is of course facing a team that is respectable on the glass in the Spurs and Siakam only averaged 7.0 boards versus San Antonio last season.
Dyson Daniels 14.5 Points: MORE
Dyson Daniels has stepped into a starter role in Year 1 with Atlanta and has thrived. He’s averaging 13.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 39 games. The guard has scored more than 14.5 points in three of his last four and even registered 20+ in two of those appearances.
The Aussie had 20 points last time out on Wednesday evening in a loss to the Pistons. He’s playing with lots of confidence on both ends of the court. His numbers weren’t good against the Raptors last season but it’s because Daniels was a bench player at the time in New Orleans. Believe in the recent trends.
Paolo Banchero 4.5 Assists: LESS
Paolo Banchero has been playing well since coming back from injury. His assists numbers aren’t where they were a season ago, however, as he’s averaging just 4.5 dimes per game compared to 5.4 in 2023-24. While it’s a small sample size of 11 games, it’s something to consider for tonight’s entry.
The Duke product has dished out less than 4.5 dimes in three of the last five contests. He also averaged 4.0 assists against the Blazers last season. Portland isn’t exactly elite defensively, but Banchero will have a quiet evening as a playmaker.
