It’s a relatively busy Saturday in the Association, with 11 games on the slate. I’ll focus two of my entries on Jalen Brunson and Jaylen Brown as the Boston Celtics visit the New York Knicks for a marquee matchup out East.
Elsewhere, I’m eyeing Klay Thompson and Jalen Green in a clash between two Texas teams in the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets.
Read below for my NBA picks for DraftKings’ Pick6.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for February 8
Jalen Brunson 25.5 Points: LESS
Jalen Brunson is having another impressive season for the Knicks, averaging 26.1 ppg. He has scored more than 25.5 points in three of his last five, but that will be a difficult task tonight. New York will host the defending champion Celtics, who are elite defensively.
The guard registered just 22 points against Boston earlier in the campaign and he doesn’t play as well at home, averaging 24.3 points as opposed to 28 on the road. While Brunson did average 27.5 ppg vs the C’s last season, I think they will contain him to a certain extent here.
Jalen Green 23.5 Points: LESS
Jalen Green has been the leading man for the Rockets in 2024-25, who sit in fourth in the West with a 32-19 record. He’s averaging a team-best 21.5 points on 35% shooting from 3-point land. While Green has dropped more than 23.5 points in three of his last five outings, he’s putting up 22.5 ppg across two appearances against the Mavs – Houston’s opponent tonight.
As for last season, he only averaged 15.5 ppg versus the Rockets’ in-state rivals. Dallas has obviously gone through some drastic changes over the last week but I expect them to limit Green’s production at home.
Jaylen Brown 4.5 Assists: LESS
Jaylen Brown’s season averages in dimes sit at 4.8, just a tad higher than his total tonight in the Big Apple. He’s actually had more than 4.5 assists in three of his previous five, but Brown only compiled a mere one assist against the Knicks earlier in the season.
New York is Top 10 in fewest dimes allowed per contest and Brown isn’t always the most consistent playmaker. The Knicks are holding small forwards to a mere 3.5 assists per game as well. This entry is certainly worth a look at Madison Square Garden.
Rudy Gobert 11.5 Rebounds: MORE
Rudy Gobert has long been known for his presence on the glass. That’s no different this season, averaging 10.4 rebounds for the Timberwolves. He’s dominating on the boards so far in the month of February, grabbing 13.5 rebounds per night.
The big man has collected more than 11.5 boards in three of his last four and still had 10 rebounds in his most recent game. The Trail Blazers are 20th in opponent rebounds allowed and also allow over 14 rebounds per night to centers.
Klay Thompson 2.5 made 3-Pointers: MORE
We’re seeing signature Klay Thompson lately. He just helped the Mavericks beat the Celtics in a Finals rematch, erupting for 25 points. He’s drained more than 2.5 triples in four of his last five appearances and has averaged 3.0 makes this season on 7.7 attempts for a 39% clip.
Thompson is red-hot from deep right now and has averaged three treys converted in 2024-25 against the Rockets. He is confident and will continue to chuck the threes up at a high level. I do not doubt at least three will hit net.
Coby White 19.5 Points: MORE
With Zach LaVine now in Sacramento, that’s opening up more opportunities for others on the Bulls roster. One player who will immediately benefit is Coby White. While he’s already started all 45 of his appearances while averaging 18.5 ppg, he should see even more usage now.
White is balling out at the moment. He’s scored more than 19.5 points in four consecutive outings, registering 20, 22, 22, and 25 points. Alongside Nikola Vucevic, he’ll probably be Chicago’s top option now. White should cook tonight.
