The Washington Wizards have been playing inconsistent ball of late, but that can’t be said of Kyle Kuzma. The Wizards forward has apparently taken it on himself to do more for his team lately.

Not only has Kuzma upped his scoring lately, but he has been a beast on the boards. Kuzma is hauling down 11.7 rebounds per game over his last nine contests after averaging 6.7 in his prior 23.

Now, Kuzma and the Wizards will host the struggling Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. The Thunder have lost four in a row and six of their last seven and while this team has a ton of issues, one of the biggest is on the glass.

The Thunder are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, as they rank dead last in the Association in opponent rebounds per game and 25th in rebounding percentage.

Kuzma’s rebounding total for this one is set at a fairly high 9.5, but he has gone Over that number seven times over this nine-game stretch including an incredible 20 rebound performance against the Orlando Magic in his last game.

We’re betting Kuzma keeps cleaning up the glass in this matchup against OKC.

Pick: Kyle Kuzma Over 9.5 rebounds (-110 at DraftKings)

Obviously, this was always going to be a season full of growing pains for the young Detroit Pistons, but they must be happy with the fact it looks like they have something in point guard Cade Cunningham.

The No. 1 overall pick is averaging 18.3 points while shooting 43.6 percent from the field, including 40.4 percent from 3-point range while adding 6.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds over his last 15 games.

Recently, he has led the Pistons to wins over the Jazz and Bucks, and Detroit has won four of their last six overall. Cunningham will look to keep rolling against their Central Division rivals, the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls lead not only the division but the Eastern Conference with a 26-11 record. The Bulls are led by an offense headed up by guards DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, who are both having terrific seasons, but they may be putting all their efforts in on the offensive end of the floor.

Chicago allows more points to opposing guards than anyone in the NBA while ranking 16th in opposing guard field goal percentage and 22nd in 3-point percentage. Cunningham’s point total is a touch too low for this matchup.

Pick: Cade Cunningham Over 17.5 points (-120 at DraftKings)

There is only one way to say this. Aaron Gordon’s rebounding total, set at 4.5 for tonight’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, looks like a bit of a mistake.

The power forward is the Denver Nuggets’ second-best rebounder, behind Nikola Jokic of course, and Gordon averages 5.5 rebounds per game this season. He has done a solid job of cleaning up the glass since missing three games with a non-COVID illness, hauling down six or more boards three times in the five games since his return.

But, what you really have to love about this bet is his matchup against the Clippers. Los Angeles has been bullied on the boards all season long. The Clippers rank 27th in both rebounding percentage and opponent rebounds per game.

With Gordon coming off a game where he grabbed six rebounds against an OKC team that has similar struggles on the boards, we like him to go over this number with relative ease.

Pick: Aaron Gordon Over 4.5 rebounds (-120 at FanDuel)

It’s not an interesting story. Seriously.
