Tougher tests await the Cleveland Cavaliers in the postseason, but they’re off to an impressive start heading into Saturday’s Game 3 clash with the Miami Heat.
Cleveland’s league-leading offense has been the prominent storyline through the first two contests in this series, and my Cavaliers vs. Heat predictions expect both teams to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Who will win Cavaliers vs Heat Game 3?
There were a few nervy moments for the Cavs in Game 2, but this isn’t a fair fight when you put these two offenses side by side.
Cleveland posted a 30-11 road record during the regular season, and it’s hard to see the Heat getting enough stops to pull off an upset.
Cavaliers vs Heat prediction
My best bet: Over 213.5 (-110 at bet365)
Even without being at their best, the Cleveland Cavaliers have served up enough scoring spurts to reach the 120-point mark in both Games 1 and 2, and that’s a credit to Kenny Atkinson’s offensive scheme.
After all, a year ago, the Cavs were struggling to crack 100 points in the first round against the Orlando Magic.
It’s been a smoother ride for Cleveland so far in this postseason, even with the Miami Heat fighting hard, and I’m picking the visitors’ offense to power the Game 3 total to another Over on Saturday.
That’s in line with what we’ve seen from the Cavs all year. Including the playoffs, the Over is 53-31 this season for Atkinson’s men, and they shot the lights out in Game 2 with a 49% mark from downtown. While the starters are a well-drilled group, there’s also a lot to like about Ty Jerome, De’Andre Hunter, and Sam Merrill coming off the bench.
The Heat have trended in the same direction — the Over is 47-39 — while ranking in the top half of the NBA in 3-point percentage. Tyler Herro got to his spots in Wednesday’s matchup, pouring in 33 points on 14-for-24 shooting, as Miami shot 52% from the field despite a quiet scoring night from Bam Adebayo.
Meanwhile, Cavs star Donovan Mitchell will be tough to stop on home court — especially with Cleveland’s shooting depth flanking their top bucket-getter. I’m backing the Cleveland offense to do the heavy lifting on the way to the Over.
Cavaliers vs Heat same-game parlay
Max Strus is a key cog in Cleveland’s 3-point barrage, and he’s knocked down seven of his 13 triples so far in this series. Playing off Mitchell and Darius Garland is a dream scenario for any shooter, and Strus has consistently punished the Heat for overhelping.
Back at Kaseya Center against his old team, I see Strus continuing his hot start. He eclipsed this 7.5 O/U line in both of his outings against Miami this season, and he’s making his 3-pointers at a 39% clip this season on six attempts per game.
Garland was in a great rhythm in the two contests at Rocket Arena, and his playmaking especially stood out in Game 2, where he finished with nine assists. If I’m picking the Cavs’ offense to power this Over, it’s only natural that a Garland prop ends up in my SGP.
An O/U line of 6.5 dimes feels generous for the Cleveland maestro, who averaged 7.6 assists per game in his final five regular-season contests.
