After going 2-for-4 in last night’s win over the Brewers, Mike Yastrzemski is poised to once again lead the Giants’ offensive charge against Texas.

The Texas Rangers open a three-game series with the San Francisco Giants when they visit Oracle Park tonight.

My Rangers vs. Giants predictions look for Mike Yastrzemski to have another strong game after coming through in the clutch on Thursday.

Rangers vs Giants prediction

My Rangers vs Giants best bet: Mike Yastrzemski Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-110 at DraftKings)

Right-handed pitchers have been at the mercy of Mike Yastrzemski this season. In 67 plate appearances against RHP, the San Francisco Giants outfielder is hitting .340 and slugging .623 with three dingers.

When you consider the conditions in San Francisco tonight — winds of 13 mph with gusts of up to 20 mph — I expect Yastremzki to have a strong performance as a notorious lefty pull-hitter.

It doesn’t hurt that he’s had success in the past against Texas Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi. Anytime you hit two home runs off a pitcher in just six meetings, it’s worth taking note of.

While Eovaldi’s stats look solid on the surface, he’s had some luck. His xERA is almost a full run and a half north of his actual ERA, and he ranks in the 32nd percentile this season in hard-hit rate. Add in a barrel rate that ranks in the 35th percentile and a fastball that clocks in around 91 mph, and regression is due to come soon.

A big reason for Eovaldi performing better than the metrics is the success he’s had with his curveball. Opponents are hitting just .095 against Uncle Charlie this season, after posting a .214 average a year ago.

Unfortunately for the Texas right-hander, Yastrzemski is a solid curveball hitter. His .684 SLG last season was his best against any pitch type, and he averaged .289 against the curve.

Yaz is averaging .333 at Oracle Park this season, and he’s expected to lead off tonight. Even if he doesn’t take one out, he should notch multiple H/R/RBI in this contest.

Rangers vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

Mike Yastrzemski Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

Adolis Garcia Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

Giants moneyline

Justin Verlander’s struggled to keep the ball down this season, as his fly-ball rate has skyrocketed. Adolis Garcia has performed better both on the road and against RHP, and he has shown an increase in his exit velocity while ranking high among MLB sluggers in barrel rate.

The Giants are the better team right now, and they’re being selective at the plate. They’ve notched the fifth-most walks of any team and have the sixth-most doubles in the league. Given how well San Francisco’s bullpen has performed and Texas's current inability to score runs, I like the home team to get the win.
