Best NBA Player Props Today for 11-30: Irving Takes Initiative vs Jazz

Someone has to pick up the scoring burden with Luka Doncic sidelined, and that man is Kyrie Irving. That means the Mavs PG will be picking up fewer assists than expected vs. the Jazz.

It’s a somewhat light night of NBA action with just five games on the board, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of value to be found when looking for NBA player prop picks.

Jalen Duren should take advantage of the Joel Embiid-less 76ers. Giannis Antetokounmpo should be full speed ahead against the Wizards. And Kyrie Irving will shoulder more of a scoring load with Luka Doncic out.

Here are my NBA picks for Saturday, November 30.

NBA player props for November 30

Prop bet #1: Jalen Duren double-double

+155 at bet365

However you feel about Joel Embiid, there’s no denying that the Philadelphia 76ers are missing his presence in the interior.

The Sixers enter tonight’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons ranked dead-last in rebounding rate, 22nd in opponent rebounds per game, and 18th in opponent points in the paint per game. That means Pistons center Jalen Duren could be in for a big night.

The 21-year-old continues to develop and looks like a key piece to this Pistons core. Duren is averaging 9.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. The guy looks like a walking double-double and has recorded eight of them in 19 games played this season. I like him to add to that total tonight.

Duren’s rebounding prop is set at 10.5 for this matchup, so the question is whether is he can hit double-digits in the point column against Philly. His point total is 9.5 but he’s hit double-digits in five of his last eight games, averaging 10.4 points over that stretch.

And no Embiid means Andre Drummond gets another start, and the 76ers don’t love running him too hard, but they also don’t have much big-man depth behind him.

I like Duren to record his ninth double-double of the season against Philly tonight. And I like it even more at this price.

Prop bet #2: Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 31.5 points

-115 at bet365

The only thing that can slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo is himself. The Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar was on fire before a calf injury forced him to miss the team’s last game.

But the Greek Freak is listed as probable for tonight’s matchup against the Washington Wizards and I like him to pick up right where he left off.

Antetokounmpo has pretty much carried his team through its early season slump. The two-time MVP continues to do his thing averaging 32.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. But he looked like a freight train in the last three games.

Antetokounmpo averaged 36.7 points on 63.2% shooting while scoring no fewer than 32 points per game, and now he gets a great matchup against Washington.

This season has been a struggle for this two-win Wizards team. They enter this game having lost 13 in a row, ranking next-to-last in defensive rating and 22nd in opponent-effective field goal percentage. Slowing down Giannis feels more like a hope than it is a defensive strategy.

The other thing to note about this matchup is that despite their struggles, the Wizards play at the fourth-highest pace in the NBA, meaning more possessions for Giannis and the Bucks.

Give me the Over on his point total, which is sitting at 31.5. It doesn’t hurt that our Covers Prop Projections have Giannis set at 34.3 points for this matchup.

Prop bet #3: Kyrie Irving Under 6.5 assists

-105 at bet365

It sounds like Luka Doncic will miss another game for the Dallas Mavericks with his wrist injury and that means Kyrie Irving will shoulder more of the scoring in tonight’s matchup against the Utah Jazz.

This will be the sixth time in the last seven games that Doncic will not suit up. In those games, Irving is averaging 24.8 points on 21.4 shot attempts. That is up from his season average of 18 field goal attempts per game.

And Irving should have plenty of opportunities to get buckets against a Jazz team that ranks dead-last in the NBA in defensive rating. So, with Irving more focused on scoring, it’s only natural that his assists may dip a bit.

Irving’s assists prop is sitting at 6.5 for this matchup against the Jazz, and he’s landed at exactly six assists in all five games that Doncic has missed.

Additionally, the Mavs offense has still played well without Doncic, averaging 124 points per game without their star. I think there’s a chance they pull away from a struggling Jazz team late and may not need Irving late in the game.

Our Covers Prop Projections have Irving pegged at 5.8 assists in this matchup. I’m betting playmaking stays secondary for him tonight and taking the Under.
