Best NBA Player Props Today for Feb. 8: Vucevic Leads Bulls By the Horns

Nikola Vucevic remained a member of the Bulls after the trade deadline and he's their primary option, especially on the glass. We're hitting the Over on his rebounds while also looking at Dyson Daniels and Jerami Grant props.

With one of the NBA’s most dramatic trade deadlines in the rearview mirror, we’ll continue to make sense of it all across tonight’s 11-game slate.

That starts with Anthony Davis’ expected debut for the Dallas Mavericks, followed by Jimmy Butler’s first game with the Golden State Warriors and a potential playoff preview between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.

The NBA player props market is loaded for Saturday, February 8, and there are some gems to be found if you look hard enough for your NBA picks.

NBA player props for February 8

Nikola Vucevic Over 10.5 rebounds (-125 at bet365)

With DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine now reunited in Sacramento, spare a thought for Nikola Vucevic, who’s still marooned with the sinking Chicago Bulls. But Vucevic hasn’t let the Bulls’ overall struggles affect his production, and I like the Over on his rebounds prop tonight against the Golden State Warriors.

Vucevic remains among the league’s most consistent rebounders, finishing with 11 boards in each of his last three outings and reaching the double-digit mark in seven straight games, and he should be able to feast on the glass tonight against a Golden State team that’s still searching for the right frontcourt combinations.

The Warriors were outrebounded this week against the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers, and that spells trouble for Steve Kerr’s men, with Vucevic coming off a strong January where he averaged 11.1 rebounds per game.

It also helps that these teams play at a pace that lends itself to high-volume shot attempts. The Bulls and Warriors rank fourth and sixth, respectively, in field-goal attempts per game, and that dovetails nicely with a rebounding Over.

Dyson Daniels Over 5.5 assists (+100 at bet365)

The Atlanta Hawks will load up the minutes for their young core after trading away DeAndre Hunter and Bogdan Bogdanovic this week, and that opens up even more doors for Dyson Daniels, who’s been thriving in a key role.

Daniels brings defensive intensity to paper over some of Trae Young’s defensive lapses, but it’s hard to ignore the strides in his offensive game. His February numbers are already climbing, and I’m jumping on this price for at least six assists tonight against the Washington Wizards.

He’s become a key playmaker for the Hawks, tallying 24 dimes across his last three contests, including a 10-assist effort in Atlanta’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks last night, and I don’t have much faith in the Wizards slowing him down.

With Young as a shot-maker and Onyeka Okongwu as a lob threat, Daniels has options when he gets into the paint. I’m expecting a high-scoring contest at Capital One Arena tonight, with the Aussie at the heart of the action.

Jerami Grant Over 14.5 points (-110 at bet365)

Things are looking up for the Portland Trail Blazers, who’ve won six in a row and nine of their last 10. While that’s pulling the franchise closer to the play-in race than the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes, it’s a promising sign for Chauncey Billups’ roster.

Though Anfernee Simons has had the hot hand lately, I prefer the Jerami Grant points prop here opposite the Minnesota Timberwolves' length, and a 14.5-point line feels manageable for the Portland forward.

Grant is averaging 16.5 points per game through four outings this month, including 20 against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, and he’s shooting a healthy 38% from downtown this season.

Sure, there are plenty of mouths to feed in this Blazers offense, but Deni Avdija and Scoot Henderson are listed as questionable and Grant seems like a lock for double-digit field-goal attempts.

The rest of Grant’s numbers can be erratic, but his scoring touch has been more bankable and Portland should be able to hang with a Minnesota team missing Mike Conley and Julius Randle.
