Best NBA Player Props Today for Feb. 13: Bam's Bounty

Bam Adebayo is the man in Miami now that Jimmy Butler's been officially given the boot out of state. His points prop is calling as he should deliver against a Mavericks frontcourt without Anthony Davis.

The Dallas Mavericks were already getting flak for trading away Luka Doncic and with Anthony Davis back on the IL, that criticism is going to magnify.

My NBA picks for today are betting on Heat big man Bam Adebayo to take advantage of AD's absence.

I'm also backing Pels forward Zion Williamson and fading Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards with my best free NBA player props for Thursday, February 13.

NBA player props for February 13

Zion Williamson Over 23.5 points (-120 at bet365)

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings face off for the second straight night and for the third time in the last six days. The Kings won both of the previous games despite Pels forward Zion Williamson going off for 40 points on Saturday and dropping 33 points last night.

When healthy, Williamson has been one of the best players in the league and since returning from his latest lengthy stint on the IL in early January, he has averaged 25.3 points per game. Over the last month, the Kings are 26th in the league in defensive rating (118.8) while playing at a Top-10 pace.

The Pels traded away Brandon Ingram at the deadline, which should mean an even heavier scoring burden for Zion, who has eclipsed 23.5 points in seven of his last nine games.

Anthony Edwards Under 5.5 assists (-140 at bet365)

Anthony Edwards is averaging 4.5 assists per game and his passing has taken a backseat in recent weeks with the All-Star preferring to take his own shot.

Edwards has averaged a whopping 27 field-goal attempts over his last five contests with the majority of those shots coming from the arc. While he was averaging 45.4 passes and 8.4 potential assists through the first 48 games of the season, those numbers have dipped to 40.8 and 7.3 over his last five.

In addition, the Minnesota Timberwolves have a tough matchup tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder who have easily the top-rated defense in the NBA. The Thunder allow the fewest points per game (104.6) and the fourth-fewest assists per game (24.1) in the league.

Bam Adebayo 20+ points (+120 at bet365)

A pair of teams that just traded away their franchise players, face off at American Airlines tonight where the Dallas Mavericks host the Miami Heat.

The Heat finally traded away disgruntled superstar Jimmy Butler, making it clear that this is Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro's team moving forward. Meanwhile, the Mavs traded away All-NBA guard Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis but the oft-injured big man is once again sidelined.

That should make things easier inside for Adebayo, who is coming off a 27-point performance against OKC's top-rated defense and has dropped more than 20 points in six of his last eight games.

Dallas is 25th in the league in defensive rating (117.3) since Jan. 1 and has surrendered a whopping 55.8 PPG in the paint over the last 10. The Mavs' brass was clearly hoping Davis would shore up the defensive issues inside but with an adductor sprain sending him to the IL, Dallas will likely get torched inside again.
