Tonight's loaded schedule of games is headlined by a matchup between Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren, and we expect the former to make his impact felt on the glass.

We’ve got a jam-packed Wednesday slate of NBA action to look forward to tonight, including the last three unbeaten teams — the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.

That’s got the NBA player props market booming, featuring LeBron James making his one stop in Cleveland for the year and another installment of the Victor Wembanyama-Chet Holmgren rivalry.

Here are my three favorite NBA picks for the Wednesday, October 30 slate.

Best NBA player props today

  • Pistons Cade Cunningham o36.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120 at bet365)
  • Knicks Karl-Anthony Towns Under 19.5 points (-110 at BetMGM)
  • Thunder Chet Holmgren Over 9.5 rebounds (-113 at FanDuel)

Picks made on 10-30 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

NBA player props for October 30

Prop bet #1: Cade Cunningham Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists

-110 at bet365

The winless Detroit Pistons are underdogs despite facing a Philadelphia 76ers team missing Joel Embiid and Paul George. However, this is a golden opportunity for the Pistons to kickstart their season — and I’m banking on Cade Cunningham leading the charge with another big stat line.

Cunningham is averaging 26.5 points per game so far this year, and he’s kept Detroit competitive (only one of the Pistons’ four losses has come by more than eight points).

But there’s much more to Cade’s game than scoring, and I like this prop as a path to tap into all the ways he impacts the box score. He’s put up a combined points-rebounds-assists total of at least 37 in each of his outings this year, including a 33-4-6 line against the Cavaliers last week, and he’s tied for sixth in the NBA with 7.5 assists per game.

With no Embiid to wall off the paint, Cunningham should be in attack mode from the jump, and he’s going to have a size mismatch against both Tyrese Maxey and Kyle Lowry. Even with more bucket-getters around him on the current roster, there’s every chance that Cade will hoist up at least 20 shots for the fourth time this season, and that kind of volume will keep this Over in play.

Prop bet #2: Karl-Anthony Towns Under 19.5 points

-110 at BetMGM

After the New York Knicks’ major offseason moves, it was always going to take time for the pieces to click into place. At 1-2, it’s still early days, but it’s becoming clear that there are a lot of mouths to feed in the revamped offense.

That’s going to impact Karl-Anthony Towns’ numbers this season, and I’m fading his points prop tonight against the Miami Heat. Towns slid into a secondary scoring role behind Anthony Edwards last season with Minnesota, so he’s no stranger to giving up some touches, but the pecking order is murkier with the Knicks.

It’s likely to mean some quieter nights for KAT, who only had eight field goal attempts against Cleveland on Monday and is always a candidate for foul trouble. Towns is averaging 15.3 ppg this season, and he’s fallen well short of this 19.5 O/U in two of New York’s three contests.

He also goes head-to-head with Bam Adebayo and a well-drilled Heat defense, so I’m not expecting many easy looks.

Prop bet #3: Chet Holmgren Over 9.5 rebounds

-113 at FanDuel

Even on a busy NBA night, there’s an understandable buzz around the Victor Wembanyama-Chet Holmgren rematch, and I expect both players to trend toward the Over on their player props.

But it’s the Holmgren rebounding prop that jumps out to me. He’s been a monster on the boards in his first three outings, averaging 13 rebounds per game to help the Oklahoma City Thunder navigate the Isaiah Hartenstein injury, and the stage is set for more of the same tonight.

After Wemby and Chet battled it out for the Rookie of the Year award last year, there’s some added spice for this matchup, and Holmgren seems to be relishing the freedom to crash the glass more often this year.

I see the Thunder limiting a San Antonio Spurs offense that’s averaging the third-fewest points per game so far this year (106.3), and Chet is going to be carrying the rebounding burden once again for an OKC team that’s feisty but undersized. In a showdown that might offer up a little extra intensity than a typical late October game, I like Holmgren’s chances of cashing in this Over.
