The Toronto Raptors have been seeing more of their core group on the court together lately, and those reps will be the focus again tonight as they visit the Orlando Magic.
With Orlando slipping away from the Top 6 in the East and still searching for consistent form, my Raptors vs. Magic predictions signal a change of fortune for Toronto on the road.

My analysis
It’s a delicate balance for the Toronto Raptors, with the race for lottery ping pong balls and the need to explore this roster’s true potential. In that sense, ‘close but no cigar’ losses, like Friday’s overtime setback against the Chicago Bulls, provide the best of both worlds.
But this is a competitive roster whenever Scottie Barnes, R.J. Barrett and Immanuel Quickley are healthy and flanked by Jakob Poeltl, and I expect a response here from the Raptors.
I’m taking the plus-odds on this adjusted spread and counting on Toronto’s depth of scoring options to find some cracks in a stubborn Orlando Magic defense.
The Magic are just 5-5 in their last 10 games, with a scoring void beyond Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. They’ve generally been able to hang their hat on strong home form, but they’re coming off losses to the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Memphis Grizzlies at Kia Center.
Toronto’s offense isn’t even close to the level of those teams, but the Raptors picked up a 109-93 victory in the their last meeting with Orlando this season. The visitors’ struggles from 3-point range — 29th in the league in triples made and attempted per game — usually put them behind the eight-ball, but the Magic are dead-last in 3-point percentage this year.
It might be too optimistic to wager on the Toronto moneyline — a 5-23 road mark is still a concern — but I see Darko Rajakovic’s men pushing Orlando right to the wire.
Raptors vs Magic same-game parlay
The matchup between Scottie Barnes and Paolo Banchero could decide this contest, and I like this Over for the Raptors man to fill the stat sheet.
Barnes has gone past this rebounds + assists number in five of his last seven outings, and I’m buying into his season averages of 7.8 rpg and 6.2 apg.
The numbers suggest a sluggish start here. The Raptors have hit the 1H Under in 33 of their last 52 games and are prone to offensive droughts.
Meanwhile, the 1H Under has been a winning ticket in 29 of the Magic’s past 44 contests at Kia Center. That feels like a repeatable trend.

- The Raptors’ measly 18 wins is nothing to write home about, but they’re 34-25-1 ATS this year.
- Orlando has dropped three of its past four games, and the news that Jalen Suggs will be out indefinitely comes as a big blow.
- The Magic have hammered the Under this season as it’s 38-23 in their 61 contests.
- The Under is 7-3 in the teams’ last 10 meetings.
