On Saturday, the Brooklyn Nets will look to snap the Phoenix Suns’ 15-game winning streak when the two meet at the Barclays Center. The Nets come into this one having won 12 of their last 14 games, so they’re also feeling pretty good about the way they’re playing right now.

Will Brooklyn be the team that puts a halt to Phoenix’s run? You’ll want to keep reading our Suns vs. Nets NBA picks and predictions for Saturday, November 27 to find out.

Suns vs Nets picks and predictions

Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.

The Suns went into New York and earned an impressive 118-97 victory as 4-point road favorites against the Knicks on Friday. Phoenix has now won 15 games in a row, which means the team is two games away from tying the Suns’ franchise record. Knowing how competitive the entire Phoenix roster is, that has to be something these players have in mind. And while nabbing a road win over a very good Brooklyn team isn’t going to be easy, the Suns are the more likely team to earn an ATS victory in this one.

At full strength, the Nets are the better team between these two, but the reality is that Steve Nash’s team is currently missing both Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris. Irving might not play a game for Brooklyn this season, so it’s fair to just completely ignore him as a member of this roster. However, Harris is a big part of this current group, and the Nets are going to miss his floor-spacing against a Suns team that’s third in the league in defensive rating.

Obviously, there’s nobody on the planet that can defend Kevin Durant or James Harden in isolation, but Phoenix does have Mikal Bridges. Bridges is one of the best perimeter defenders in basketball, and he’ll certainly make life tougher on one of them. This should be a high-scoring game, so both Nets players will surely put up some numbers in this one. However, if Bridges is making them work harder and take bad shots, that will catch up to Brooklyn in the long run.

At the same time, while Brooklyn is currently sixth in the league in defensive rating, the Suns should have no trouble finding ways to put up points against them. This Phoenix offense has found another gear as of late, as the team is up to sixth in the league in offensive rating. The Suns have the fifth-best offensive rating over the course of the 15-game winning streak, and the Nets just don’t have the perimeter defenders required to slow down Devin Booker and Chris Paul. Both guys had their fingerprints all over the blowout win over the Knicks, with Booker scoring 32 points and Paul finishing with 14 points and 10 assists. Don’t be surprised if both of them go off in this one, especially considering Paul’s history with Harden.

Prediction: Suns +3 (-110)

The Over has hit in each of Phoenix’s last five games, and it has also done so in seven of Brooklyn’s last eight. In the last five games, the Suns are averaging 118.2 points per game and the Nets are averaging 115.8 points per game in their last eight. Both of these teams are loaded with offensive firepower, and they’re both really playing well coming into this game. With that, it’d be somewhat surprising if these guys weren’t hitting shots.

Last year, both of the two meetings between these teams went Over the total, averaging 249.5 points per game. And, for what it’s worth, the Over is 44-23 when Phoenix has played in non-conference games under head coach Monty Williams. And since Nash became the coach of the Nets, the Over is 18-6 when Brooklyn has faced teams that allow 108 or fewer points per game.

Prediction: Over 220 (-110)

Since the start of last season, the Suns are 23-12 against the spread in games with a line of +3 to -3. Phoenix outscored opponents by 3.1 points per game in those contests, showing that the Suns have what it takes to win this one outright. Also, since Williams became the Suns’ head coach, Phoenix is 16-10 against the spread when playing as a road underdog of six points or less.

The Nets are also just 4-9 straight-up when playing against top-level teams with winning percentages of 70.0 percent or better. That’s not to say that Brooklyn can’t win a game like this, but it’s just hard to imagine Phoenix losing with the way the team is playing right now.

Not only does this spread seem somewhat disrespectful to a very good Suns team, but Phoenix is an incredible value on the money line, too.

Pick: Suns +3 (-110)
