Suns vs Spurs Odds, Picks, and Predictions Tonight: Beal Pours in Points Against San Antonio

The presence of Victor Wembanyama in the paint made Bradley Beal adjust his game in Saturday's meeting between these teams, but with Wemby missing tonight, our NBA picks expect plenty of buckets in Beal's future.

The Phoenix Suns will be in Texas tonight to take on the San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center, and we have you covered with our best bet for this matchup using the latest NBA odds.

Phoenix is trying to avoid the Play-In Tournament and will catch a nice break as Victor Wembanyama has been ruled out for San Antonio.

With Wemby out, find out which NBA player prop I'm targeting in my free NBA picks for the Suns vs. Spurs on March 25.

Suns vs Spurs predictions

The Phoenix Suns just defeated the San Antonio Spurs 131-106 on Saturday, but with Wembanyama out tonight it changes all of the player props for this rematch.

The one prop I was surprised to see continue to trade at the same price was Bradley Beal's points prop of 16.5. It was -103 this morning, and we're still able to scoop it at -102 after the Wembanyama news. Bradley Beal was trading at 17.5 on Saturday with Wemby in the lineup, but with him out I'm hitting the button on the 16.5 because of Beal's playing style.

Beal is someone who lives in the mid-range and can also cross up his defender and finish at the rim, but with Wembanyama protecting the paint, it forced him into more passes. If you go watch the film from Saturday's game, there are plenty of examples of this happening.

Beal was easily able to break down his defender on the perimeter, but once he got in the paint he was looking for a cutter or open shooter — resulting in Beal dropping 12 dimes.

I fully expect to see Beal have the same success at getting in the lane, but without Wembanyama patrolling the paint, we shouldn't see him dribbling circles around the rim looking for an assist. Beal will attack the rim, and what was a potential assist on Saturday will be a field goal attempt tonight.

Beal's projection of 18.4 points allows us to price Over 16.5 at -140, but FanDuel's price is -102. Based on this projection, this bet is showing a positive expected value of 16%.

My best bet: Bradley Beal Over 16.5 points (-102 at FanDuel)

Suns vs Spurs same-game parlay

Bradley Beal Over 16.5 points

Beal Under 6.5 assists

Beal Under 1.5 threes

With Beal's assists total all the way up to 6.5 and the logic behind why I'm betting on his points prop, I'm pairing the Under for Beal's assists with the Over on his points prop. I don't care that he had 13 points and 12 assists on Saturday against the Spurs; this is a much different matchup with Wembanyama ruled out.

Yes, I'm pairing the Over on Beal's points prop with the Under on Beal's threes made prop. I haven't lost my mind, and the inverse correlation boosts the price on the same game parlay. With Wemby unavailable, Beal and company shouldn't be settling for perimeter jump shots. Beal can easily break down  perimeter defenders and should be taking most of his field goal attempts in the mid-range and at the rim.

Suns vs Spurs spread and Over/Under analysis

The Suns opened as 10.5-point favorited at FanDuel, and with Wembanyama ruled out, they touched as high as -13.5 before seeing some resistance. Phoenix is now trading as a 12-point favorite at FanDuel and it looks like we should see this number close between -12 and -12.5.

The total opened at DraftKings at 232 and has climbed to 234. If you're looking to bet on the Under, make sure to shop around because several sportsbooks are trading this number at 234.5.
