Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark has just one more individual record to break. The sharpshooting guard is 18 points shy of breaking legendary LSU scorer and Naismith Memorial Hall of Famer Pete Maravich's collegiate scoring mark of 3667 points.
Standing in her way, and a possible No. 2 seed in the Big Ten tourney as well as the Women’s March Madness odds, is the same No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes program that defeated the Lady Hawkeyes in overtime to thwart any Big Ten regular season titles for Iowa.

Ohio State vs Iowa picks and predictions
Sunday marks the likely culmination of a lifetime of sacrifice for Caitlin Clark and the rest of the seniors being honored on the Iowa Hawkeyes Senior Night.
Iowa seniors Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, and Mollie Davis returned to Iowa to play alongside Clark to help her become the greatest scorer the college game has ever seen, and it’s their night as well.
The cherry on top of the sundae this Senior Night for the Lady Hawkeyes will be to beat the daylights out of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes are the squad that defeated them in overtime, which turned out to be the beginning of the end of the Hawkeyes’ Big Ten regular season title hopes.
The Lady Hawkeyes blew a 12-point, fourth-quarter lead at Columbus and got buried in overtime. They dropped two more away matchups after that loss, but one place they rarely lose and where they will not only avenge their loss but cover the spread is Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa is 12-1 at home this season. The last time they lost here was on November 16 to Kansas State. Since then, the ladies have reeled off 11 consecutive wins with a winning margin of 21.2 points, and they will be nearly unstoppable behind a sold-out, raucous Carver-Hawkeye crowd.
Ohio State has already wrapped up the conference regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in next week’s Big Ten Conference Tournament. They are riding a 15-game winning streak and are 8-1 as the away team this season. The Lady Buckeyes lead the conference in points allowed (62.1) and steals (10.8) with the third-most free-throw attempts per game.
But this is a big night for Clark and the Lady Hawkeyes seniors. This Buckeyes program dashed their goal of winning a Big Ten regular season championship in a game they should have won. Look for the Hawkeyes to come out firing, Clark to easily break “The Pistol's” record, and the Lady Hawkeyes cover the spread.
My best bet: Iowa -7 (-110 at DraftKings)
Caitlin Clark prop pick
All sorts of prop markets are available for Caitlin Clark today — from how many assists she’ll record to how point 3,668 will be scored. My favorite prop is Clark to go Over 7.5 assists at DraftKings.
We all know Clark can light it up. She’s been compared to players like Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, but she also has some Pistol Pete in her — she likes to score and set up her teammates, and we’ll see an abundance of both today.
Shutting down Clark is the gameplan for most programs, and like a lot of teams, the Buckeyes will likely deploy some sort of box-and-one or attempt to double-team her as soon as she touches the rock. That might keep the Hawkeyes guard from scoring 50, but as a result, she’s learned to find her teammates and has dropped 10 dimes or more in seven of her last eight Big Ten tilts.
The beauty of being Clark is that she doesn’t always have to drop 40 for Iowa to win. She has teammates who can shoot — as a team, the Lady Hawkeyes shoot 38% from downtown and 50.6% from the field, and part of the reason Martin and Marshall returned for their senior year was Clark’s unselfishness, which will be on full display today.
Finally, while Sunday is about Clark breaking Maravich’s scoring record, she still wants to win this game. That means Clark will look for her shot, and when it isn’t there, the Lady Hawkeyes are great at cutting to the basket. Clark does a terrific job at seeing the cutter and making the play. She’s cleared 7.5 assists in eight straight and 18 of her 29 games this season, and will clear her number again this afternoon.
Caitlin Clark prop: Over 7.5 assists (-115 at DraftKings)

Ohio State vs Iowa spread and Over/Under analysis
As popular as the women’s game has become, the oddsmakers haven’t caught up, and very few sportsbooks have anything on the board.
That doesn’t mean that they won’t. Most shops will have some numbers hung by tip-off time, and they’ll all be like what we presented from DraftKings here. Iowa is a -7 (-110) favorite with a 170.5 (-110) point total, and there is typically very little line movement in these games until tip-off when in-game betting is usually offered.
That 170.5-point total does seem low for this matchup — these teams play fast basketball, and Ohio State is a team that averages nearly 11 steals per game. Iowa has turnover issues at times, and this could be a wild one like their last encounter, where they combined to score nearly 200 points.
The other thing about Iowa? They aren’t a very good defensive team. They are on page seven of the NCAA stat sheet in points allowed, and the Lady Buckeyes can score.
Senior guard Jacy Sheldon is a terrific player, and she has four Buckeyes teammates averaging nine points or more per game. Ohio State can really play, which means either Iowa plays the best defensive game they’ve ever played (doubtful) or Iowa scores 90, the latter of which is far more likely.
