The Central Connecticut State Blue Devils put a 14-game winning streak on the line tonight when they meet the St. Francis Red Flash in the Northeast Conference Tournament Final. Tip-off comes your way from Detrick Gymnasium in New Britain, CT at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The Red Flash have been on a tear, too, and my St. Francis vs. Central Connecticut predictions anticipate they will compete hard tonight.

Read on for my college basketball picks for Tuesday, March 11.

St. Francis vs Central Connecticut prediction

Who will win St. Francis vs Central Connecticut?

The Central Connecticut State Blue Devils have won 14 straight and dominated the St. Francis Red Flash during the regular season. St. Francis will put up a fight, but the Blue Devils will ultimately prove to be too much.

My best bet
St. Francis +9 (-105 at bet365)

My analysis
The Central Connecticut State Blue Devils have a lot on the line. The team with the longest active winning streak must win an additional game to hear its name called on Selection Sunday.

The Northeast Conference regular season champs turned a mid-season two-game losing streak into a 14-game winning streak leading into tonight’s matchup with the St. Francis (PA) Red Flash (15-17). Central Connecticut State is 19-8-0 against the spread this season, but the hottest team in the nation and conference champs needed OT against Farleigh Dickinson.

The Blue Devils are large favorites for a reason — they easily dispatched St. Francis and covered the spread in both games. But the pressure is clearly on Central Connecticut State.

It won’t be easy because the Red Flash are playing well. Leading scorer Riley Parker is tough as nails, and Daemar Kelly is averaging 12.0 points over the last 10 games.

The Red Flash might be large underdogs tonight, but they are a team that covers the spread. St. Francis is 14-12-1 ATS this season and 4-0-1 against the number across the last five.

St. Francis may not win this game, but it has nothing to lose. I’m betting the Red Flash come out swinging and cover that big number.

St. Francis vs Central Connecticut same-game parlay (SGP)

St. Francis +9

Central Connecticut moneyline

Over 126.5

My best bet is St. Francis to cover, but I don’t expect them to win.

Central Connecticut State’s 14-game winning streak will be tested, but St. Francis doesn’t defend well, and the inconsistent Blue Devils offense will get enough buckets to win, not cover.

Both previous meetings exceeded tonight's game total, and the two have a combined Over/Under record of 3-1-0 to the Over in the Northeastern tourney.

The alternate total is eight points lower than the game total, and I believe they’ll topple my selected total.
