Betting Trend to Know
The Golden Hurricane are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. Find more NCAA betting trends for Tulsa vs. Cincinnati.
Against the Spread (ATS) Pick
The Cincinnati Bearcats have been the best Group of Five team in the country this season, going 8-0 SU with an average scoring margin of plus-24.6 ppg. Not only have they been winning in convincing fashion, they've been cashing in for bettors, going 5-2 ATS in their last seven games. And in both ATS losses, they missed the cover by just a single point.
That said, the Golden Hurricane are pretty formidable themselves. Tulsa opened their season with a hard-fought road loss against an Oklahoma State team that came into the year with Big-12 Championship aspirations. Since then, the Hurricane have won six games in a row, most recently a 19-6 throttling of Navy where they limited the Midshipmen to 151 total yards of offense.
Defense has been Tulsa's calling card all season. The Golden Hurricane rank 22nd in the country in both total defense (allowing 328.4 yards per game) and scoring defense (19.9 points per game).
As impressive as the Bearcats have been on both sides of the ball, I don't see them scoring enough to cover a two-touchdown spread.
With Cincy 1-4 ATS in its last five home games against teams with a winning road record, and Tulsa 11-3 ATS in its last 14 road games versus schools with a winning home record, take the points with the dogs.
PREDICTION: Tulsa +14 (-110)
Over/Under Pick
We mentioned Tulsa's terrific stop-unit, but Cincinnati has been even more dominant on the defensive side of the ball. Led by linebacker Jarrell White, the Bearcats are holding opponents to just 301.7 yards and 14.3 points per game.
Although they're coming off a game where they surrendered 33 points to Central Florida, it's worth noting that they limited UCF to 359 yards, more than 200 yards fewer than the Golden Knights' incredible season average of 585.6 ypg.
They should find it much easier to slow down a Tulsa team that has struggled to move the chains, averaging 411.3 ypg and ranking 73rd in the country in third-down conversion percentage.
With Tulsa 5-2 to the Under this season and the Bearcats going below the total in 10 of their last 13 home games, we're backing the Under again.
PREDICTION: Under 47 (-110)

Team Total Prop
Cincinnati's offense improved by leaps and bounds in 2020 and is currently ranked 13th in the country with 40.9 ppg. That said, Tulsa is the toughest defense the Bearcats have faced since September when they were limited to 331 yards and 24 points against Army.
Led by massive linebacker Zaven Collins and his 11.5 tackles for loss, Tulsa has been shutting down high-scoring offenses all year. The Golden Hurricane held Chubba Hubbard and Oklahoma State to just 16 points, grounded SMU's renowned aerial attack, and limited UCF to 26 points.
Look for Tulsa's stop-unit to come up big once again and take the Under on Cincy's team total.
PREDICTION: Cincinnati Team Total Under 30.5 (-110)
Tulsa vs Cincinnati Betting Card
- Tulsa +14 (-110)
- Under 47 (-110)
