The total opened at 49, jumped up briefly to 50, and now resides at 49.5 points. I'll gladly take the Under in this case.
The Georgia Bulldogs' defense is a monster, and I don’t see the Tigers scoring much at all Saturday. The defense suffered a bit of a week five letdown on the road against Missouri, and you can bet this defense will be in lockdown mode this time around.
Georgia allows just 10 points per game on 264 yards of offense, with six sacks and six picks to their name as well. The Bulldogs defense allows a TD on 8.8% of their opponents' offensive drives, and an Auburn side scoring a TD on just 17% of its possessions is going to have a hard time finding the end zone.
Auburn has a bright future ahead of them with frosh QB Robby Ashford and junior wideout Ja’Varrius Johnson. The two have teamed up for a couple of big plays thus far, but Georgia is allowing only 175 passing yards per game and will shut this Tigers' offense off like a switch.
While Auburn may have trouble scoring the football, its defense is quite good. It might not be at the level of Georgia, but the Tigers allow an average of 330 yards of offense and 21 points per game.
The Georgia offense can be explosive and average 39 points per contest, but it won’t be easy for QB Stetson Bennett and Co. to score as this Auburn defense might be their stiffest test thus far.
Both defenses will do enough to keep this from being a rout, and the final score should end under 49.5 points.

Auburn vs Georgia spread analysis
Georgia being favored at -30 is a lot for an SEC affair, and I’m not sure the Bulldogs can cover that number. Both sides are 2-3-0 ATS, and Georgia is 6-1 ATS over their last seven meetings with Auburn. None of those spreads were higher than 14.5 points, and this Auburn defense might be the best they’ve had in years.
The real question is how Auburn's freshman QB performs in the biggest game of his college career against one of the best defenses in the country. That remains to be seen, but I think 30 points is too many for this matchup.
Auburn vs Georgia Over/Under analysis
The Under is 6-1-0 over these two teams' past seven meetings, and the highest total over the past three seasons in a game featuring the Tigers and Bulldogs has been 45.5. These defenses are likely better than previous Auburn and Georgia sides.
Georgia hasn’t scored more than 34 points or won by more than 24 in any of their previous nine meetings with Auburn. Conversely, the Tigers have scored 30 points against Georgia over their last three contests. Expect a low-scoring, hard-hitting game on Saturday.
