At first glance, this game seems like a trap game. However, after reviewing the analytics and numbers for this game, I still believe Coastal Carolina wins this game.
Coastal Carolina is averaging 48.8 points per game while gaining 554.2 yards of offense per game. The Chanticleers love to run the football but when they need a completion, they can rely on Grayson McCall who has 14 touchdowns and just one interception on 109 attempts this season.
The running game is averaging 263.5 yards per game and the offensive line has really done its part this season to help the run game earn extra yardage and protect McCall in pass protection.
Meanwhile, the defense has been the biggest surprise for this team. They’ve held opponents to just 281 yards per game and 15 points per game. The rushing defense has been fantastic and the pass rush continues to create havoc, helping the defense allow just 151.5 yards passing per game.
Appalachian State, on the other hand, are averaging 31.5 points per game and allowing 23.5 points per game.
