Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:20 P.M. ET SATURDAY: This game was a big mover at BetMGM Nevada books, opening North Carolina State -2.5 and moving all the way to Wake Forest -2 today, before going back to Wake -1. "We need North Carolina State here," BetMGM's Jeff Stoneback said. "It's 3/2 tickets and 5/1 money on Wake Forest."

UPDATE 11:40 A.M. ET SATURDAY: PointsBet USA's Patrick Eichner said the Under is getting pounded in this game, taking 90 percent of the money bet on the total. The total opened at 56.5 and is down to 53.

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This game is down to pick 'em at FanDuel, after opening at North Carolina State -3.5. Wake Forest is taking 62 percent of spread bets and 69 percent of money, and bettors are also on Wake moneyline, which is drawing 63 percent of tickets and 76 percent of dollars bet. The total was a quick mover this week at FanDuel, from 56.5 to 52.5 by Tuesday, and as of Friday, 76 percent of bets and 86 percent of dollars were on the Under.

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Eric Osterman, manager and oddsmaker at The SuperBook at Westgate, said sharp money on Wake Forest took the line from North Carolina State -3 to -2.5 early in the week.

---

PointsBet USA's Patrick Eichner said Monday that the Wolfpack moved to -2.5 this morning on interesting early betting splits. Sixty-five percent of tickets are on North Carolina State, but 60 percent of the point-spread money is on Wake Forest.

Opening line

Georgia Tech +7.5, Over/Under 60

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened Central Florida at -7.5, briefly dipped to -6.5 Monday and this morning reached -8.5, where the line is now. It's two-way action on the game, with a slight lean to the underdog, as Georgia Tech is getting 53 percent of tickets and 52 percent of money on the spread. The total opened at 61.5, peaked at 63.5 and is now 62.5, also on two-way play, with 58 percent of bets on the Under and 54 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY: Central Florida opened -8.5 at DraftKings and quickly dropped to -7 before ticking up to -7.5. Ticket count is almost even two-way, with Georgia Tech getting 53 percent of bets, but the Yellow Jackets are landing 68 percent of early money on the spread.

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Central Florida opened -7 and is up to -7.5 at The SuperBook. "We took some sharp action on Central Florida," Osterman said.

---

PointsBet USA's Eichner said there was an early move to Central Florida -7, but more to stay in line with the market. Still, an opinion is forming. Ticket count is split 50/50, but about 80 percent of the early money is on UCF.

Opening line

North Carolina -27, Over/Under 61

Why the line moved

This line bounced around quite a bit early at PointsBet USA, stretching to 28.5 Monday morning before pulling back to 27.5. Seventy percent of early spread bets and money are on big underdog Charlotte to cover.

Opening line

Louisville -1.5, Over/Under 61

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:20 P.M. ET SATURDAY: This game also made a sizable move at BetMGM in Nevada, from Louisville -2.5 to Miami -1.5. But BetMGM's Jeff Stoneback said the side is not really much of a decision, with money almost equal. However, the total of 65.5 is creating liability. "Money is 3/1 on the Under," Stoneback said, noting the book needs the Over. "The total is a bigger decision than the game itself."

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: DraftKings opened Louisville -1 and quickly moved to -2.5, where the line has remained all week. Sixty-five percent of tickets and 78 percent of money are on the Cardinals, as of Friday afternoon. And although only 32 percent of tickets are on the Over, 87 percent of money is on the Over, with the total plowing from 59.5 to 64.5 in the process.

---

This line is already up a full point Monday at PointsBet USA, with host Louisville 2.5-point chalk. But Miami has its share of takers, landing 70 percent of early money on the point spread, while Louisville is getting 65 percent of early tickets.

Opening line

Pittsburgh -20.5, Over/Under 50.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 11:40 A.M. ET SATURDAY: PointsBet USA's Patrick Eichner said although the line moved from Pittsburgh -21.5 to -20.5, 57 percent of tickets and 61 percent of money are on the Panthers to cover. Bettors are also on the Under, to the tune of 72 percent of tickets and 75 percent of money. The total is down 2 points just this morning, from 49 to 47, and it opened last Sunday at 51.5.

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Pittsburgh opened -21 at DraftKings and rose to -22 before ticking back 21.5, and the underdog is the play so far. Syracuse is landing 63 percent of spread tickets and 84 percent of money bet. The total dropped from 51.5 to 50, with 60 percent of bets and 71 percent of dollars on the Under.

---

PointsBet USA moved to Pitt -21.5, thanks to early interest in the Panthers. "All Pitt in this one," Eichner said. "About 90 percent of spread tickets and handle are on the Panthers."

Opening line

Notre Dame -26, Over/Under 53

Why the line moved

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened Notre Dame -24.5 and stretched to -26.5 by midweek, but with kickoff looming, the line has tumbled to -22.5. However, the Fighting Irish are still getting 61 percent of bets and 74 percent of money on the spread. So it would appear South Florida is drawing some sharp action among its share of 39 percent of tickets and 26 percent of money. The total opened at 52.5 and bottomed out at 47.5, but it's up a point today to 48.5, and 80 percent of tickets and money are on the Over at FanDuel.

UPDATE 7:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: DraftKings opened Notre Dame -26, dropped to -25, rose to -26.5 and dropped back to -25.5 Thursday. Then on Friday afternoon, the line swiftly dropped to Fighting Irish -24. "That's a sharp move," said Johnny Avello, director of sportsbook operations for DraftKings. South Florida is attracting 60 percent of tickets and 61 percent of dollars so far.

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The SuperBook is at Notre Dame -25.5, with no movement thus far. "There's parlay money on Notre Dame, but nothing big yet," Osterman said.

---

PointsBet USA's Eichner said this game is similar to Syracuse-Pitt early, with Notre Dame taking 90 percent of tickets and bets by Monday. However, there's not enough money in the pot to move the line yet.
