Against the Spread (ATS) Pick

Both of these schools took a step back after terrific 2019 campaigns, but still played well when you consider they lost their head coaches to Power Five programs in the offseason. Memphis finished the regular season with a 7-3 SU record and went 5-3 in AAC play.

The Tigers have gone just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games, but this could be a get-right spot for them against a Florida Atlantic squad that has enjoyed an easy schedule.

The Owls went 5-3 SU but are coming off back-to-back losses, looking dreadful on offense in one game and playing terribly on defense in the other. The Owls were held to just three points versus Georgia Southern two weeks ago, before surrendering 45 points to a mediocre Southern Miss offense in their regular-season finale.

While the Owls look terrific against the pass on paper, those numbers have looked so impressive due to their mediocre level of competition. They had a three-game stretch against Massachusetts, Florida International and Western Kentucky, all of whom are among the worst-passing teams in the country.

Don't expect anywhere near that level of success against an explosive Memphis aerial attack led by senior quarterback Brady White and averaging 314.9 passing yards per game. There's simply too big of a gulf in talent between these sides. Take the Tigers to win and cover.

PREDICTION: Memphis -8 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

With a pathetic offense that puts up just 20 ppg and a stingy defense that limits opponents to 16.5 ppg, Florida Atlantic has been a strong Under bet this season. The Owls have gone below the total in six of their last eight games.

Despite a high-powered offense and leaky defense, the Tigers have gone 5-1-2 to the Under in their previous eight contests as a favorite.

The biggest issue for Memphis has been their pass defense, which surrenders a whopping 303 yards per game through the air. Luckily for the Tigers, the Owls don't have the weapons to take advantage, with their aerial attack averaging just 143.6 passing yards per contest.

With the weather looking messy and a one-dimensional FAU offense taking on a Memphis defense that is decent against the run, back the Under.

PREDICTION: Under 50 (-110)
