The Nebraska Cornhuskers didn’t have an ideal start to their season when they lost to Illinois. Since that loss, they have won their last two games by a combined score of 80-10!
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Sooners once again have big expectations in one of their last seasons in the Big 12. The Sooners have a Heisman hopeful in Spencer Rattler, and they will go as far as he can take them.
Can Oklahoma continue their path to the CFP and handle the Cornhuskers?

Nebraska vs Oklahoma predictions
Oklahoma -12.5 first half (-110)
The Oklahoma Sooners came into this season as one of the most dangerous offenses in the entire country. They have lived to the hype, averaging 58 points on offense in their first two games. If you look beyond this season, Oklahoma has been dominant in the first half of games. In their last four games that have included top teams such as Florida and Iowa State, they have led at the half by an average of 25.75 points.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have not been impressive this year. Nebraska has been on a slow start this season during the first half. The Cornhuskers averaged only 15 points per first half this season. The lone loss they had this season against Illinois, they were trailing at halftime. To make matters worse, Nebraska is 1-7 as dogs of more than four points vs. opponents off back-to-back straight up wins. Nebraska is a big underdog in this game. If they do not win, it will be because the Sooners dominated the first half.
These two teams are opposites when it comes to making a statement in the opening frame. I will take Oklahoma to take care of business early and cover the spread in the first half.
Under 62 (-110)
Both of these teams have put up plenty of points this season. The separation between these teams is more likely to come down to defense.
The Sooners defense has no weaknesses. It starts with the defensive line. This unit has already recorded eight sacks in just two games! Nebraska QB Adrian Martinez has already been sacked six times this season. He’s a mobile quarterback that tries to extend plays with his feet. With this ferocious line getting after the quarterback, it doesn’t suit Martinez's game well. Oklahoma's linebacker and defensive back groups are also one of the best in the nation. This defense is complete!
Despite its potential, Nebraska has had a hard time bringing that offense on the road. In their last five road games as an underdog, the Under has gone 5-0. The only time the Cornhuskers have gone Over the total this year was against Fordham at home. Nebraska had to score 52 points in that game to go Over the total. I can promise you, the Huskers won't produce that in Norman.
I see this game being very lopsided, enough where this game goes under the total.
